I'll throw another one out there, McDonalds had a great steak McMuffin breakfast sandwich they discontinued. Was going to put the McRib on this list as they supposedly had a farewell tour for it last year it sounds like it may be back in some markets in November for a limited time.
When the Covid thing hit they discontinued the Bacon Egg and Cheese Bagel. Last season, in Florida, I saw a billboard saying it was back! Stopped at a local McDonalds less than week later and they didn't have it.

A general one is Buffalo Wild Wings. When the store near us was new they were actually good wings, but after a few years the quality has been spiraling. Tastes like they went cheap on ingredients.

I really liked this pizza for some reason. Jeez, how did Pizza Hut screw up so badly?

I remember seeing this commerical and really wanting it. My parents wouldn't get it for some reason. Was over at a friend's house and his mom got it. It sucked. I don't remember why, but I think I learned somethings about the truth in advertising.

It costs a lot of money to have a wide variety of products. While I hear you on some of these things, it doesn’t matter if a product is amazing or sucks - if it doesn’t meet sales goals it’s gonna get axed.
Shelf space in groceries is very expensive. Only the strong survive.

Remember the Priazzo? Kind of a deep dish, but with a crust on top (I think)? That didn’t last too long.

Like some other folks, when I was growing up (and even into college in the 80s) Pizza Hut was a special treat. The one in Ottumwa was really old, I remember it had that neon sign of the Italian pizza maker flipping the crust, and at night the neon lights would make the crust fly up and down. Today, it’s cheap pizza for lazy people, and most places you can’t even sit down and eat in any more. Even their no-longer-excellent pizza was okay for the now-gone lunch buffet …
That Pizza Hut in Ottumwa would have been owned by Ivan Teinson, not sure on the spelling. He started with Pizza Hut when they first opened up their franchises and his territory was Southern Iowa and Northern Missouri, at one time he owned all the Pizza Huts around Ottumwa, Fairfield, Kirksville he had around 15 or so total if I remember correctly. Also owned the Mexican place in the North part of Ottumwa and the Steak place beside it. Built his corporate offices out by the city golf course north of Ottumwa. Guys was worth 10's of millions off selling pizza.
