The next two games will be the deciding factor, to get a shot at a bowl game we have to win one of those two if not both of them.

It's commonly accepted that outstanding talent covered up subpar coaching. I think our offense is executing significantly better this year.

Especially games where we clearly couldn’t run the ball yet committed to running the ball, then Hall would bust 1-2 huge game breakers. He made a glaring obvious weakness look like a strength in probably double digit games.

Teams in KU’s new found position almost always lose a game they’re favored in at some point, especially on road. Hard to block out the praise.

The TCU win was big and if they can get another at Cincy, a couple wins back to back can really start to build some confidence especially going into the BYE. That should give them more time to solidify some of the new offensive wrinkles they've shown and hopefully get everyone healthy. Come out of the BYE with another W against Baylor and everything is on the table. KU could be winable at home and BYU hasn't looked all that good so far. The opportunities are there to get to 6 wins and even 7 if things fall the right way. Momentum and confidence can be a huge thing, especially for a young team, just need to keep building. Cyclone colored glasses fully engaged at this point.

I think there's a huge difference in the trajectory of this program under Campbell between 5-7 and sitting home and 6-6 and going to a bowl game.
I agree. Public perception/recruiting would benefit and it would be a significant benefit in continued player development. That's why I don't mind at all the proliferation of minor bowls. They're important to the teams and the fans even if SportsCenter doesn't care.

I’d put the bowl game chances at 50/50 now. I really like Baylor off a bye and them playing Cincy next week
I like us to beat Kansas and Baylor. Kansas isn’t looking very good vs Ok State right now. I’d say we have a chance at K State, but historically that’s been an evil place. BYU is a toss up.

I think 2 wins in the last 5 games is about 75/25. The way the team has grown the past few weeks is reason for optimism

Looking at the remains teams on the schedule and how this very young team has been growing very solidly each week, how those remaining teams have been playin and where they are on our schedule, I’m thinking they now have a solid opportunity to grab wins over Baylor, KU, BYU and K State. That would be a rather unexpected 8-4 season!

Agree. The Baylor game will be huge. As will BYU, watching them against TCU - I know Provo is not easy to play at but thats a possibility.

I know you should never apply the transitive property when it comes to scores, but BYU had a home game against Cincinnati a few weeks ago and won 35-27, so that gives me hope we can go into Provo and win.

I think the key to your post was "a few weeks ago". What kind of odds did you give us to win "a few weeks ago"? In college football, a lot changes in a few weeks.

Applying the transitive property this year in this league would be especially nuts.

Get Baylor and BYU and book those flights to Shreveport.

I think there's a puncher's chance against Kansas. I don't see beating Texas or K-State.

Still very, very positive after last year/early this year
