At this point we might need to look into extending him because schools like MSU are going to be looking at him.
Only ND or OSU move the needle for him. And I can’t see that happening.

Anything else is a sideways move in his eyes.

He’s not going South and he’s not going west and he’s not going to the NFL.

After reading some of the older posts who wanted CMC gone, all I could think was “this viewpoint has not aged well”
And we are all happy for that. I'm proud (not best word, as it is similar to stubborn) that Campbell is making the necessary adjustments for us to be successful.

Nate Scheelhaase deserves a lot of credit here lately! And Campbell too, for letting him makes some of these calls. The offensive play calling has been very encouraging.

Campbell deserves the props. Ohio was a definite low point, but he made the changes needed to turn it around. He does need to reflect on why the team underperforms every year in the non conference part of the season and make changes going forward
By “changed” I can only assume that you mean “freshmen actually got enough experience to implement more of the offense”.

I was able to hold my tongue for the most part in this thread. And one of my only complaints about today's coaching decisions is a recurring complaint. We continue to waste timeouts on offense. Fortunately they didn't come close to haunting us today against Cincinnati. The coaches deserve credit for fixing a lot of issues this season. Maybe they can fix the bleeding of timeouts at some point.

We actually owe it all to that rando who yelled at him after the Ohio game!
I don’t even disagree…pretty clear CMC was fired up after that comment. Sometimes a bit of complacency needs outside pressure to change. You can either let adversity win or you can get pissed off and make changes.

While I feared Campbell was showing too much stubbornness, he’s made significant changes now. That’s no longer a concern. Young team, yes - gambling situation, yes - but the early season futility wasn’t just from this year, it was a continuation of the underachieving from 2021-22. Very pleased that we finally appear to be digging out from under that.
