Will ISU make a Bowl Game? YES! Which One? LIBERTY BOWL 12/29

Curious if the Murph and Andy Hawk show will still laugh off the idea of an ISU bowl now that they only have to finish 2-3.
I'm sure they will be too focused on Iowa's pending appearance in the B1G chumpionship game.
At this point I don’t care about bowl eligibility. I’m focused on revenge with 4 of our last 5 opponents. The way we’ve lost the last 2 games in Waco is like drinking piss. Same with the loss at Kansas last year. I’m doubly pissed about Baylor 2019 because the Baylor chiefs would rather have seen an ISU player die of heat stroke than give up the advantage of making our guys roast in the sun.
Then the Texas game last year with X dropping that sure TD and the no call on targeting at the end. Then with the number of heartbreaking and head-scratching losses to KState over the years.
Little of that will register with our young roster but it does with this old man. LFG, starting in Waco on 10/28.

Unlikely we can beat Texas, but you never know....it could be 10 below zero and Texas throws 5 picks...Ames in November literally anything could happen
I’m pretty sure Texas has never played a big 12 game that far north in November.
ISU/UT was November 16, 2019 in Ames.
UT was at ISU November 6 in 2021 and on November 16 2019. So the mid November road trip to Ames seems to be a somewhat regular occurrence for them since the B12 ended divisions. Fun note, UT lost both games.
I remember they’ve frequently lost to ISU and KU lately but really didn’t realize they finally played up north late, for the longest time it was a real thing.
If the remainder of our road games are 11am kickoffs, we will make it to a bowl game this year.
I'm too lazy to do the research, but I'm convinced that visiting teams do better in 11am games than any other start time.

If you look at Texas' schedule this year, they play 10 games in the state of Texas. The game against ISU will be the only game they play north of Texas all year.
I'm thinking upset special! Hoping for a 20 degree night game with wind chills in the single digits.

I feel better about beating KU at home than I do BYU on the road. They’re both very winnable I just like our chances at home more
While I get what you are saying, getting a bowl game, even the very bottom ones, is a huge deal for the extra practice and playing time, especially for a team like ours that is so young and inexperienced. The low end bowls do have significant importance for some teams.
Bowl "Expert" / sarcasm Jerry Palm projects both Baylor and UCF in Bowls this week but no Cyclones. Time will tell, but that's a lazy take for an "Expert":

I definitely dont like that our 2 most winnable games are on the road. Ugh
I know, it's fine that they go, if people want to go visit a new town super, but I'm just old school.
I hope it's a near blizzard and everyone has to use 4wd to get to the game. TX isn't going to want any part of that.
ESPN's current Projection for ISU is the Guaranteed Rate Bowl in Phoenix.
