Boise State is receiving a lot of love to win the MWC. A potential 2nd round matchup fwiw.
Most projections I've seen so far have BSU at 2nd (behind San Diego State) so definitely MWC contender.

ISU should get past VCU without much difficulty. On paper, at least.

If NET is something close to the KenPom projection, the tournament should provide a solid augment to tournament profile, potential for Q1 and Q2 wins.

I don’t mind the non-con schedule given how tough the Big 12 schedule is, but I’d still like us to play Drake and UNI every year. Replace 2 patsies with the 2 instate rivals and the non-con schedule is much better.

Iowa State is willing to do this as home games only. Drake and UNI want home-and-home. There is no reason for Iowa State to do that.

Does anybody have a good way to estimate W/L % expectations based on Torvik or KenPom ratings?

I set up a spreadsheet to simulate the Orlando tournament 10,000 times here --

Much of it hinges on how likely any pair of teams is to win/lose against each other, and I am not convinced the method I used (team share of net rating per 72 between the two teams) creates enough differential.

I would imagine Texas A&M and FAU should be further ahead than they are.

I like that, we got the slightly less hard half. I think VCU will probably be Q2 while Boise State and VT hover around that mark. Hoping we get FAU in the final should we get it
That'd be one hell of a litmus test early in the season
