Doug Gottlieb is still relevant? Who is Nick Wright?
‘Loser reporter who hates Purdy. He is the one who is counting almost interceptions only against Purdy. He said the last potential winning drive doesn’t count because Purdy‘s first pass should had been intercepted.

Many people have already put Justin Herbert in the top tier QB's in the NFL. They mentioned on the Dan Patrick show the other day that Herbert is one of the worst QB's statistically in the fourth quarter.

It’s like I said Sunday, if these knuckleheads are counting “almost interceptions” against Purdy they damn well better be counting drops as completions. So many drops last Sunday …

In advanced analytics, they take all of that into account.

I listened to Greg Cosell discuss Purdy's game against Cleveland and he said that Purdy didn't have that bad of a game. He said Purdy was consistently pressured up the middle and the o-line was getting penalized a lot which put Purdy in 2nd and 3rd and very long. San Francisco didn't have hardly any running game and the receivers dropped a lot of passes. Cosell said that Purdy still made some high level throws, including one of his best rated throws that Aiyuk dropped/was broken up.

Josh Allen has the most turnovers in NFL over past two seasons. He’s in commercials and consistently regarded as one of top QBs in league. Patrick Mahomes has uncharacteristically thrown several picks this year. Both guys have elite weapons around them.

There’s a bizarre fetish of people out there waiting for Brock’s downfall. **** ‘em.

None of the passes were credited as drops. Whereas 44% of Purdy's passes were rated as bad throws. He was pressured about 20% of the time, which is high, but Pit pressured him over 50% of the time and his bad throw was around 11%. He had a bad game (basically worst of his career), even accounting for the injuries. It's ok to admit that. This game was hopefully just an extreme outlier.

Mahomes has 1 elite weapon this year. The Chiefs receiving core isn't good. Rice is having a nice year but he's a good number 2 WR at best right now. The Chiefs o-line is great though and Pacheco is having a year.

Been listening to Minnesota radio here while going to work. Most feel like the Vikings need to play perfectly to beat the 49ers. There is one radio host(meatsauce if anyone else listens to Kfan here) that thinks Purdy is the most overrated player in NFL history though. Paul Allen the Vikings play by play thinks the Vikings are just going to blitz like crazy hoping Purdy makes mistakes.

Meatsauce is just being on brand with that kind of a take. He says crap like that all the time. I don't frequent KFAN but will listen from time to time when theres a lot of Twins news.

Almost like all great QBs generally need elite weapons to be successful

For those that are not familiar with KFAN and the morning program they have, 'Meatsauce' (real name is Paul Lambert) is constantly ridiculed by the other members of the morning program.

Agree but there are things that Mahomes makes up on the fly that put's him in a class of his own. Scrambling and tip toeing the line before firing or deciding to take off is unlike any QB the league has seen.

Meanwhile Herbert and Hurts threw actual interceptions on game saving/winning drives, only to lose.

Gottlieb was a horrific career 36% shooter.

His ft% might be even more laughable how mind blowingly bad he was...45%. Any random dude at the YMCA could beat that. He actually got worse at FT% the more he played, his senior year he was down to 43% when he was shooting the highest volume of free throws.

So I wonder if he counts all of his almost made baskets in a career of chucking up bricks.

Purdy could probably hit half court shots at the same % as Dougie shot fts.
