That was disturbing to hear him say. There is NO justification for throwing stuff on the field.

I'd have bet my life on him defending Iowa fans throwing stuff. It's who he is, extreme hypocrite on that sort of thing if an ISU fan or Pollard or any Cyclone doesn't behave absolutely perfectly.

Remember that time X got a TD called back for changing his stride as he ran into the endzone? Pretty sure the team dealt with it and still scored....

Did not Iowa still get the ball with great field position and only need to muster up 20 yards to get a FG?

Lol Murph said if Cooper Dejean’s punt return stood, he’d be getting Heisman votes. Murph, what are you smoking!?!
Hold up, I actually agree with this take. By definition he would have single handedly won them a couple games. Not that he would win the Heisman, but its willing to think he would get votes

1:33 at midfield down by 2 is a pretty great spot to be in for a whole bunch of teams (ISU in 2022 particularly isn't in that conversation).

It legitimately sucks for Iowa fans...

But it's legitimately the correct call.

ISU fans DEFINITELY wouldn't have local media on our side if we were going ape$hit about a call we were 100% wrong about. It would be our fans as idiots (possible) vs the local media correcting us and probably talking about how we are horrible fans/people for being upset. When Iowa fans do this the local DesMoines media goes full idiot homer right along with them.

For nearly any other offense yes.

They were averaging .6 yards per rushing attempt, I think the sack they took brought that even lower. That might as well be first and 120 from the 265 yard line.

I am at a loss, maybe someone can help me, have Iowa State Fans ever shown such an exhibition of poor sportsmanship to the point of missile-lobbing acts? We must have done something like this right? I just can not think of anything like this.

Elijah Johnson going down and dunking the ball after the no call on Niang resulted in Cyclone Alley chucking a lot onto the court

A significant number of things we do get accused of turn out to be criminal or idiot Iowa students when video evidence is studied.

Their offense would be even worse if they weren’t allowed to hold on most of the pass plays

Bandgate 2019? Members of the Iowa band said they experienced and witnessed abuse by some Iowa State fans during a game between the Hawkeyes and Cyclones.

After investigating, I believe the claims were found to be false.

Maybe Barta could investigate again. He has all kinds of time now.

I would correct one thing. I think you are giving local media too much credit. If this would have happened to Iowa State, they still wouldn’t cover it any further than a mild update, then move on to some Hawkeye debate for the next 2 hours.

Yeah, it would get a tiny bit of coverage and the coverage would all be "every ISU fan is horrible person" even if it actually was a blown call.

Ok I have to get this off my chest in a safe space. Cooper is pretty incredible and there’s plenty to admire about the plays he’s made. However, that punt return on Saturday was kind of a gift if you watch it again. He spun out of that first tackle attempt and then miraculously a lane opened right up in front of him between the sideline and about 5 Gophers. More than anything it was tragically bad containment and pursuit by MN. He’s still a great player yada yada yada. I just had to get that out.

I respectfully disagree. He’s a great player, but a CB from Iowa who plays in the shittiest division in all of Power 5 football, would not become a “Heisman Darkhorse” according to Murph. I should’ve clarified he also said Heisman darkhorse lol

C dub had the same take on him being in the heisman conversation with that touchdown on 2GNC this morning.

I remember some really malicious stuff now that I think of it. It was way back in the mists of time when Dwyane Crutchfield was a monster. We THREW ORANGES (on account of Orange Bowl fever) on the field. We had criminally thought we had the right to exhibit that deranged behavior in public!
