I respectfully disagree. He’s a great player, but a CB from Iowa who plays in the shittiest division in all of Power 5 football, would not become a “Heisman Darkhorse” according to Murph. I should’ve clarified he also said Heisman darkhorse lol

Was Breece Hall ever a “Heisman dark horse”? He was/is the better fb player and won a fiesta bowl and very nearly the b12.

Iowa fans LOVE the chance to throw things that will injure people to voice their displeasure. Anything from full bottles or cans of whatever to 9 volt batteries, et al. Unfortunately the fans probably have better arms,,,

Bandgate 2019? Members of the Iowa band said they experienced and witnessed abuse by some Iowa State fans during a game between the Hawkeyes and Cyclones.

After investigating, I believe the claims were found to be false.

Maybe Barta could investigate again. He has all kinds of time now.
And which led to Iowa State band members coming out and saying such acts happen ALL THE TIME to them in IC (which is true). This has resulted in each band not traveling to the visiting stadium.

What you saw Saturday would happen to the Iowa state band members each time they were in IC (beer, food, bottles thrown on them)

I remember some really malicious stuff now that I think of it. It was way back in the mists of time when Dwyane Crutchfield was a monster. We THREW ORANGES (on account of Orange Bowl fever) on the field. We had criminally thought we had the right to exhibit that deranged behavior in public!
Throwing oranges back in the day (late 70's early 80's) was a big 8 thing at EVERY school during/after a big victory that got you close to or winning the conference championship. We only got to experience it.... well just not very many times. During that time we had several visiting team fans throwing oranges onto the field playing us. But the best game - beating Nebraska in 1976. I was in the endzone surrounded by Nebraska fans and after Luther Blue returned a kick for a TD nebraska fans pelted the celebrating cyclones (and me) with everything they had, including the oranges they brought. If they had won that game they likely would have locked up the Big 8 (they lost the last conference game in a close one to OK)

It legitimately sucks for Iowa fans...

But it's legitimately the correct call.

ISU fans DEFINITELY wouldn't have local media on our side if we were going ape$hit about a call we were 100% wrong about. It would be our fans as idiots (possible) vs the local media correcting us and probably talking about how we are horrible fans/people for being upset. When Iowa fans do this the local DesMoines media goes full idiot homer right along with them.
and they have some national media saying they were robbed of a win. say what you want they have a good pr department. to say they was robbed of win and possible a shot at the natty they deserve. I watched it and was mad after the first guy missed but when the next 5 or 6 overran the play maybe they thought it was a fair catch

Ok I have to get this off my chest in a safe space. Cooper is pretty incredible and there’s plenty to admire about the plays he’s made. However, that punt return on Saturday was kind of a gift if you watch it again. He spun out of that first tackle attempt and then miraculously a lane opened right up in front of him between the sideline and about 5 Gophers. More than anything it was tragically bad containment and pursuit by MN. He’s still a great player yada yada yada. I just had to get that out.
Yeah, I told that today to someone ...like 5 Gophers missed as he snagged the ball....like horribly bad coverage.

Lol Murph said if Cooper Dejean’s punt return stood, he’d be getting Heisman votes. Murph, what are you smoking!?!
Hahaha. Do they think that punt return against a pathetic team could offset Iowa's thumping at the hands of a good team like Penn State? 2 punt returns for 15 yards and 5 tackles. Not really Heisman quality stats.

If heisman actually went to most important player and not QB on best team, then he would have a chance. Imagine how terrible Iowa would be without Cooper. Probably 2 wins?
They would have the same record as they have now.

I am at a loss, maybe someone can help me, have Iowa State Fans ever shown such an exhibition of poor sportsmanship to the point of missile-lobbing acts? We must have done something like this right? I just can not think of anything like this.
I mean we did something way worse when one of the students murdered a hawk bball player.

RIP Pemsl.

I think Eickholt was on for 2.5 hrs today. Looking forward to an ISU beat writer getting that this week. Especially since we got 0 minutes last week because we were off.

I had forgotten about that! I also thought the B8 champion got to play in the Orange Bowl.

Not to mention Iowa fans publicly and proudly claiming to throw cups of piss on opposing team fans.

Didn’t Murph/Andy cover bandgate for over a month? Didn’t Hawk band claim sexual
assault inside JTS but never file a police report once they discovered JP has cameras everywhere?

Didn’t one of the KXNO morning guys want to hunt down the skinny kid in Cyclone Alley who had his legs taken out by Pemsl and want to get him expelled but the kid ruined it by identifying himself and said he put his arms out trying not fall completely on Pemsl?

Meanwhile they justify pelting **** on the field in Iowa City at players, officials, and their own cheerleaders as understandable?

Why do Cyclone fans continue to tune into this duplicity?
