What pisses me off is that the national media reaction to Purdy, up until that last two games, is that he isn't that good and he benefits from a 'system' and the great players around him. They won't acknowledge that he's playing at an elite level no matter how you measure it (not saying he's elite - that's proven over time). Now the national media narrative over the last two games is: "he's not as good as we've been saying he is" - or "we've lost faith that Purdy is the answer". They've never admitted he's good! A long time ago I was taught that you don't buy into thinking you're as good as people say you are - AND that you're not as bad as people say you are. More true now with loudmouth social media over-reaction. I'm confident Brock's very level headed and way ahead of his critics and he'll be fine - but still pisses me off.
