That was just a team that found themselves in a big spotlight game and came out like a deer in the headlights. They gathered themselves, but KU made enough plays to hold on.

Everything is still in front of us. I was hoping to split each pair of the last 4, so a win at BYU is pretty important, as it will be tough to split the last 2.

Tough loss, but I love that they fought until the end. We have had a habit of fading hard after getting punched in the face in the CMC era, but tonight felt like a breakthrough. Growth!

Campbell -- can't help but think a good CEO, great recruiter .... below-average in-game coach.

Are there any D1 coaches who basically hand over all in-game decisions to someone else?

The defense only gave up 21 even with the blown play. They got to have one really good game to get bowl eligible.

Sucks but still a lot to play for. Don’t let this loss become two. At BYU will not be easy but can still pick up bowl eligibility AND be 5-2 in the league with a win next week.

And that would still set up a hell of a matchup against Texas.

Man...buckle up because BYU (although getting drilled by WV right now) is not easy to beat in Provo at 9pm in the thin air.
We are not beating Texas and K-State I am telling you now so do the math on a bowl game.

We will beat BYU.

Gotta' give props to KU tonight. Bean was really good at QB and, somehow, they were good defensively. Cyclones O sleepwalked through the first half and made KU's D look like the 1985 Bears. Was better in the 2nd half, but you have to be better whole game in late-season conference games.

KU is very subtle in how it consistently cheats.

So many of those wide open or big plays?

Either picks or push-offs.

Watch closely.

That said, Campbell lost this one.

ISU was completely outcoached, and it was all because good old CMC reverted back to form.

I feel bad for the players and fans.

Campbell's delay in adjustments cost ISU another win.
