I turned on KXNO for 2 minutes and all I heard was Dave Eickholt talking about Shania Twain....yawn.
And as Murph pointed out, it made WOI5 and both guys who handled the call look really good.
He thinks Clark is hotter than Shania.
How can you say the first sentence considering the second sentence?
I'm not a podcast expert by any means, but at places like the Ringer, they have both podcasts created and owned by them (spotify) and podcasts that are for lack of a better term buying airtime (and production).
I would think the second arrangement would be how a IE and M&A partnership would work.
Not that complicated. I have no idea what their current jobs pay, but I can’t imagine a podcast paying more.

It’s reaching the older crowd now too. My dad listens to 2 guys named Chris twice a week and he’s 69 years old.
I listen to a lot of IE pods. I think they just celebrated their 1 year anniversary. They have 3200 subscribers. They need to get more than “a bit bigger” to make it an alternative IMO. But like I said, I have no knowledge about the two formats.
Clark does nothing for me and it isnt just because she is a hawk.
Iowa Everywhere really needs another big show. I just can’t get into the show with Nick Olsn now he doesn’t cover ISU and don’t care about the Iowa pod.
And my biggest issue with 2GNC is they record early in the morning and end up missing the news that comes out in the early afternoon. Like they missed Brian getting fired by 3 hours.
Yeah the Jake Brend and Osen show just doesn't do it for me. Osen doesn't care as much about the Big 12 or ISU now because he's all in on Wisconsin, which I totally understand.
Osen goes all in on anything he does, which is why he's so good.
I just don't like Jake Brend as a podcaster, tough to listen to. I know he'll probably get better with time, but I don't even bother listening to it half the time.
Hell, I hate the Hawkeyes and I like listening to Legends and Listeners more lol
I don't know much about it, but my guess is that they have a big enough brand that advertisers will follow them to whatever platform they chose.
If KXNO/I-Heart continues the push to become an outlet for national shows, the local talent will probably find they can get just as much advertising revenue and a lot more flexibility by doing the podcast thing. I'd bet M&A have more pod listeners than live at this point, too.
Osen is the man. Jake though is tough to listen to IMO.

What is wrong with people. The headline of this call is that a meaningless game was impacted by the correct call.
Why does this even matter? After this past week the Big 10 west officially dropped to become the worst division in P5 football AGAIN per Sagarin. Based on Sagarin's quantification the gap between the Big 12 and the BTW is similar to the gap between the BTW and the Sun Belt East.
Nobody cares. The division and the teams in it are a joke, and everybody outside the fans of those teams knows it.

Dude, that was our 2nd game without 5 returning starters from the gambling probe with almost exclusively underclassman starting. If we played right now, we would beat you and I don't think it would be too close.
