Another thing that impressed me last night was the guys picking up first downs. Receivers were picking up 10 - 12 yards or 1 - 2 yards past the LOS, backs were running hard to get that first down. Rocco picked up a big first down when in previous games he would go down one yard short.

LOL, This is a good take, @twincyties . Geez, STFU.
You have to much time on your hands if you’re up in the middle of the night scouring through old posts of fellow CFers. You’re also irrationally angry.

You might want to seek help if you get this upset when people are asking rhetorical questions after our teams lose games they absolutely shouldn’t.

Number of games not a fair comparison. It will take a lot more than 2 extra games for Rocco to equal the number of attempts Dekkers had.

Also what I was saying at first. The offense is more balanced so the stats aren't similar in that regard.

Dekkers getting busted for gambling was a blessing in disguise. Rocco is alot more mobile and the kid is a gamer, reminds me alot Brock.
I am starting to think that the gambling problems brought the team together more than if it had not happened. The team was forced to play young players and they struggled early, but playing those games will pay dividends for the next 3 years.
Dekkers was OK, but made a lot of mistakes, while Rocco looks like something special.

My armchair observation is Rocco's just better for the team and program on the whole.
A lot has been said about Rocco's demeanor and leadership being an upgrade, but he's flat out a better QB than Dekkers. His physical ability is still underrated by our fanbase. He is very accurate and has plenty of zip. More importantly, he sees the field and understands the game better than Dekkers. He does have the benefit of a better offense under Scheelhaase, but Rocco has P5 ability already. This isn't a Kyle Kempt story.

Can't believe how dominant the running game was. Felt really good to see Sama breakout after being the doghouse for his fumble at Baylor. His first couple of carries, he missed the hole trying to break everything outside, was great to see him figure that out. I love all 3 RB's.
The progression for the offensive line from game one to game 10 is nothing short of amazing. Need to lock Clanton up for a long time.

BYU went out of their way to promote Iowa
I didn't see this yesterday.

Why is BYU better at promoting ISU than ISU?

Byu went out of their way to promote Iowa State. It was impressive quite frankly. Everyone else should maybe take a page from them on how to treat visiting fans.

Yep, truth in better QBR. Not sure if 'getting the ball out to where it's needed quickly' is measurable but he's been better at that since the beginning imo.

To me it all comes down to accuracy. The fact of the matter is you don't get a ton of wide open throws here. You have to be able to accurately throw into very tight windows. Hunter had the arm strength, but his accuracy wasn't always there. Rocco has been much more accurate.

Touch too. Hunter dropping it off looked like a rock sometimes.
