I know someone knows the story much better than me. Seemed like he was trying to get the Iowa job for years, redshirted guys when they were capable to go, and when he got the job he brought them all with him. I think VT was pretty pissed over it all and the "orange" thing rhymes with wussy.
I think it's grown into holding out capable/healthy wrestlers at Iowa in tournaments.
