Yep. It happens, especially at this part of the season. I’m sure our game gave FAU plenty of things to game plan around.
After the Tech loss, I‘d be surprised to see us ranked.
Va Tech shot absolutely horrible from free throw, fg and 3pt against fau. Juicy Couture was 0-8.
ISU might have to go undefeated until mid-January to get ranked and that won't happen.
Iowa state won’t be ranked at any point this season due to the Virginia tech loss which is fine but just informing y’all. Maybe if we do a big win streak in Big 12 play but that doesn’t feel super likely at this point

About zero. If today's win were bringing us the tourney title, we'd show up in the 21-25 range. Not happening with the loss to VT.
JFC it won't just be the Va Tech loss. If they were 15-1 or something at one point they're not going to not be ranked because of that game.
Unfortunately I think they'll drop one or two more before conference season so it's a moot point.

I want to quibble with this, but then I see conference play starting @ OU, and then Houston coming to town. OK, that's a tough start there.

We’re always ranked somewhere that actually matters; Kenpom, Torvik, NET, etc.
The bad ft shooting is especially annoying after 20/23 against ISU.
Can someone please tell Chris's partner on the radio to move the boom mic away from his nose. F****** most annoying thing in the world outside the Brands brothers.
Exactly. Bad 3 point shooting could just be FAU’s defense. Bad free throw shooting is just luck, and of course they were automatic against us.
I have a fear that the VT loss could look bad come March since it’s a team that looks either hot or cold.
I try to avoid thinking early games mean a lot but there are some limitations for ISU right now that makes me less than confident for tonight and Iowa.
Hopefully those things iron out by conference season.
If it's a difference between one seed line so be it but that means other losses happened.
ISU just getting in the tourney would still be really good.
