I have a theory that the way they are asked to guard absolutely destroys their legs offensively and that’s part of why we can’t ever shoot.

For sure. But that was supposed to be the trade off this year. Worse defense, but better offense. It worked against the cupcakes. Not so much against anyone with a pulse.

But more than likely we will revert back to the mean eventually. Jones is a good shooter and likely he won't shoot this bad for long.

I'm going to overreact to this and say that I hope we win a lot more than 7 games.
The sound you hear is the point sailing on past me.
Please. You understand…at least I hope. Successful football season - check. This can easily also be a successful basketball season. Losing a game…especially one where you had a huge lead…sucks. Doesn’t change the potential for a good season.

Watching Omaha play, I am baffled as to how he was a 5 star. He’s lost at every aspect of the game and isn’t this freak athlete either. He looks like a low 3 star guy with some potential.

Yeah, it may be there but it will take some time and there's no guarantee at all. These people who think he's going to be a lottery pick on potential do not follow NBA ball. The amount of talent with footage vs competition superior to NCAA level coming out of Europe alone annually would BLOW THEIR MIND. There are only 15-20 total American players getting a guaranteed 1st round contract in the draft per season these days, most of the American players are going to be players who are already total studs in NCAA basketball or kicked @$$ in their one required season in developmental/foreign leagues, very few (if any) of them will be players with a single unproductive season of NCAA basketball.

Gilbert can get in the lane and after that it's an adventure.
But you have to run offense that gives him some space to operate.

The point is there IS a variety of offensive skill on this team. In fact, some well-rounded offense. It isn't put it on automatic and score 75 type of skill, but enough skill to score in the 70s pretty consistently.
