Gilbert is long and seems to try to defend pretty aggressively.

I’m not sure how to describe this team so far. They just aren’t “fun” to watch, not sure if that even makes sense.

It’s because we’ve watched this same thing for the last 2+ years. I think it’s frustrating because we KNOW this team has some offensive talent (even if it’s only against garbage opponents) and then we seem to revert back to our old offensive ways once we played 3 teams with a pulse.

Yeah going into the season I was pretty confident we would beat Iowa with it being at home and with what the Hawkeyes had coming back. I think we still probably will but I'm not highly confident about it at all.

This team prioritizes defense over offense, needs to find the balance between the two to play winning big time basketball.

It’s game 7 of the season. Brand new team with lots of youth. First half was encouraging. Second half not so much. Maybe the team will gel and grow throughout the season and be a fun one to watch in March. Or maybe they won’t and end up winning 3 conference games because the pieces never came together… Time will tell. Not gonna stres sour over two losses in November with such a new roster.

Becuase it is just asinine to keep asking for Billew to learn in these games. His time will come, but he is not ready.

And the answer to your second question is everyone that I have seen other than Billew looks more ready than him. I am looking forward to him being awesome and I know it will happen, but he is not there right now and showing it in small spurts every time he is on the floor.

How else is a player supposed to improve? If we’re gonna lose anyway I’d rather lose watching the best recruit in program history play badly than some nobody like Curtis Jones

At least we know Biliew isn’t going to be a one and done. He can’t even get minutes at the college level.

That means he is getting drafted 3rd. NBA is so crazy.

I still think it was BS they talked about their 2 starters all game being out, but no mention of 1 of ours.

We got a lot of things to figure out. I would start with watching all the film followed up with a shoot around.

The thing that is being inexcusable to me is the fact that we suck from the line. and its a lot of our guards. can't happen.

For sure. Which is concerning since probably 14 of our 18 conference games will be similar.
