I just don’t want Texas in the CFP. Their media and fans have been absolutely nauseating with this SEC move. They are victim blaming the entire way through. Like you mean the league and 8 teams you almost ended in P5 football don’t like you? Weird.

That’s like USC, UCLA, Oregon or Washington fans being salty toward Oregon State and Washington State fans being mad for demolishing their entire athletic department and future going forward.
USC, UCLA, OU, Washington and everyone else are being salty. They’re currently suing OSU/Wazzou

No matter how you slice it I’d be shocked if the sec has 40% more qbs in nfl right now that actually play. Per school it seems pretty obvious big 12 has created best nfl qbs.
Fields (Bears)
Murray (Cardinals)
Stafford (Rams)
Burrow (Bengals) Only played garbage time at Ohio State
Tua (Dolphins)
Levis (Titans)
Hobbs (Vikings)
Hurts (Eagles)
Dak (Cowboys)
Young (Panthers)
Jones (Patriots)

34.3%

Big 12 quarterbacks by school - including Murray and Hurts as well

Oklahoma (3)
Iowa State (1)
Texas Tech (1)
West Virginia (1)

Both conferences have very good quarterbacks. Burrow arguably is the best or 2nd best QB in the NFL.

My point is - there's not a huge difference between the two conferences with QB's.

Texas being in the Playoff will not change the other Big Xii Bowls unless Oklahoma is chosen as a NY6 at-large which is highly unlikely, as they trail too many other at-large teams (Oregon, Mizzou, Penn State and Ole Miss) . Since the Sugar is a semi-final this year, the Big Xii does not automatically get a filler team. Only the Champion is guaranteed a NY6 slot this year, and that will be Texas in either the Rose or Sugar (if they make the CFP) or the Cotton, Fiesta or Peach (if they do not make the CFP).
Oklahoma is sitting at 12 right now. 11 get NY6 plus 1 G5. It does look like with the other 4 teams with same record being ahead of them is going to keep them out. But I would say they still have a chance. Hell they beat TX and if TX wins big, they could move them higher because of there win over the Champ. Unlikely but possible.

The other thing is if Bama loses bad to Georgia. Will they drop lower than 12? Doubtful, but possible. One more thing is if they will put 4 SEC teams in the NY6. That would be ridiculous, but probably will happen, with 4 teams being ranked in the top 11.

But you are probably right.

It was flawlessly executed. To the point that I'm not convinced that's not the only thing the defense practiced this week...
I don’t know the rule but can you just saunter a sub on the field like that every time? If so why does any offense get a single play off when they sub, not cheering for texas but I thought it was absurd they would let them snap with the guy just casually strolling around

The way he used it there, I would just never substitute during an offensive drive. He killed 30 seconds of play clock. It obviously shouldn't work that way, but they're going to let him do it, it seems.

Very good point! That would not be shocking, and I would support that!

Is anyone really surprised by Okie State's defense?

Lost 45-3 to UCF
34 to BYU.
30 to Houston.

Ironically they played Oklahoma reasonably tough.

But in their last 3 games before today they had given up 109 points

Only when the offense substitutes. If Texas had not substituted, that 100% would not have been allowed

No I get that, but I mean so you just get unlimited time to wander around as slow as you want? Almost every substitution would be a delay of game the way they did it, thought it looked super weird but also a great tactic
