Nice job Bama. Next up for Operation Chaos, a convincing FSU win.

A Michigan loss would be more craziness too, but I won't go there because I hate iowa way more than the stupid CFP committee.

I think the real question regarding the playoff is will an SEC team be left out of the playoff? If FSU and Michigan win, I have a hard time seeing them being left out. Which leaves one spot open for Texas, Georgia, and Bama.

I’m leaning on the side that an SEC team won’t be left out and Bama will jump Texas due to Bama facing and beating a higher ranked opponent.

Assuming Michigan wins tonight

Michigan
Wash
Georgia
Alabama

That's what I posted earlier in this thread... and got a bunch of 'dumb' ratings.

But if you don't think this is what will happen... you don't know how the committee operates folks.

They aren’t leaving texas out, that’s why you got the dumb ratings. They beat bama are conference champions and have the same win loss records. Plus they played more P5 teams.

I've got no problem if they put Bama in after this game, but Georgia doesn't deserve it after today's performance. Don't care if they were #1 cradle to grave.

Seems Louisville winning would smooth things out a bit. As much as I hate it, Texas deserves to be in with the H2H win in Tuscaloosa.

I'd probably go
Michigan
Washington
TX
FSU with win, Bama with FSU loss.

This has to be what it is. Anything else would thumb your nose at the criteria that you’ve spoken of for the past decade. But of course, that hasn’t stopped prior committees from making baffling choices and using selective criteria to justify their decision.

Do people honestly feel that FSU with their backup QB is one of the 4 best teams in the country.... even if they beat an average Louisville team tonight? I don't... and that's why I don't think FSU has a chance.

The pundits can’t imagine a playoff without a $EC team.

Was hoping for Washington, Texas, Michigan and FSU.

If Bama holds on and wins this, I'll go ahead and save the committee the effort and write up their convulated reasoning for including the SEC now. The Bama win over UGA in the CCG is a better win than UT over OSU. Then to further make the case, they will say Bama's lone loss to B12 champ UT is a more quality loss than UTs loss to OU. Bama gets in and UT gets left out. They write off the UT win at Bama because it was earlier in the year and they considered where the teams are today.

No way the SEC gets left out. But the BS will be thick.
Gonna go ahead and pat myself on the back as the ESPN crew over on the Tulane SMU game just made this exact argument point by point in the exact same order not 5 minutes after the end of the SEC game. So freaking predictable.
