Could someone explain the difference between "four best teams" and "four most-deserving teams"?
That's a frequent "discussion." I suppose the gist is, "most deserving" is "best resume" and "best" means "whatever you want it to mean." Is that it?

The right thing to do is leave the SEC out. But obviously they won't do the right thing.
FSU deserves it since they are 13-0 and ACC Champ. Are they one of the best without their #1 QB?
One is based on actual results. You know, sports and stuff?
And the other is just a blathering joke where talking heads tell us who is the best. Because you know predictions in sports are NEVER wrong.
4 best teams just means the committee can ignore records and data to pick who they want. So in this case they would ***k over undefeated Florida State because they couldn't fathom a playoff without an SEC team.
I propose that they simply award the championship to the team that the committee believes is the best.
Yeah, they thought they could pull a fast one and make even more money by making it an hour show. Luckily people aren't that stupid and the backlash was intesense.

That the most deserving teams do not deserve to be in the playoffs is the most NCAA argument ever.
