Teams try to take away what you're best at. Then if you make the play anyway, hat's off to you. With Brock, the 49ers are good at whatever is available. Brock has been able to make the right read and get the ball out on time. I thought at ISU he held the ball too long. I don't know whether it was coaching, scheme or just development. Rocco is great at getting the ball out of his hand.
It helps to have a reasonably decent OL.

I think he would deserve that. Whether or not he gets that is another question. Sometimes the narrative has not caught up to how he actually plays yet.
Last night they were speculating on CMC winning MVP. I think a case could be made.

Twin Cities local radio morning personality "Meatsauce" has been highly critical of Purdy in the past. saying he's really not that good and is just successful because he has playmakers. Today, he has changed his narrative and agrees Purdy deserves to be considered an elite QB in the NFL. The longer Purdy has continued success, the more the naysayers will change their viewpoints.

But what I like most about Purdy is that he truly doesn't care what other people think. He just wants to go out and win. Not often will a team find a very talented QB who is also very humble.

Meatsauce is a giant fuckwad if anyone knows anything about him. Don’t look him up and give him clicks.

Purdy can’t care what people think because doesn’t even know what people are saying.

Purdy is better and more deserving. It's for people who want to discredit Purdy. Not saying you are BTW. Just it's used that way. It is a problem that the 49ers vote may get split. Because they have 2 in that race. Which may prevent Brock from getting it.

Not comparing the two in any way except they both play pro football. I just watched the Amazon Prime documentary on Barry Sanders. He had the same attitude. It's not about individual awards or accomplishments. Those things embarrassed him and he shunned them. The (arguably) best running back in NFL history and he's just a humble likable dude who knows what he did but is uncomfortable with people fawning over him.

His dad, on the other hand...

Kurt Warner faced a lot of skepticism under similar circumstances. "The team needs to go out and get a real quarterback."
Tom Brady did too for the first year in New England. Then they won the Super Bowl and said **** you to Drew Bledsoe and people started believing in him. As long as Purdy continues playing like he is, those naysayers are going to start changing there tune just like Warner and Brady.

I think Brock is easily the most deserving quarterback. But more than quarterbacks should be considered.

Brock has been nominated.....AGAIN....(oh hum)...for FedEX AIR NFL player of the week according to 49er sources. I think I voted for him, but someone on here that is tech savvy ought to be able to make it easy for Cyclone Nation to cast a vote(s) for him.

Today an article detailed how many minutes (MINUTES!) the top paid QBs play to earn what BP does in a season.

11 minutes - Lamar Jackson
16 minutes - Patrick Mahomes
19 minutes - Daniel Jones
19 minutes - Deshaun Watson
24 minutes - Joe Burrow

The others are listed, too, at ESPN.com

Just not "right." IMHO.
