Can we please have more respect for Gilbert? Yes he had a bad game against Va Tech. He dominated every other game and the first half of Texas A&M, DePaul, and Iowa tonight. He’s not an “up and down” player. He had 1 bad game and a bad half when every ISU player had a bad half.

Wooee What A Dinger...

They are looking better and better with each game. Watching an offence that works under the basket is a lot more fun than the 3pt shots of years past. They did not slow down until about 10 minutes left in the game. Perhaps should have pushed to the end, but did not need to as the Hickeyes were obviously tired/depressed.

What a great job by TJ and co. Really impressive gameplan and execution. Usually when Iowa slaps on the zone it takes a couple possessions to attack. These guys just shredded it from the jump. I know isn’t good defensively, but that was a masterclass in scouting, prep and game planning.

Omaha was put through a hard workout about 2 hours before tip. Not sure what to make of that exactly, but pretty sure the plan all along was for him not to play tonight.
I did notice he was wearing his bottom warmups in the second half. Can’t remember if he did in the first half. He knew he wasn’t going in. No clue what it means but he was engaged the entire time from what I saw.

If I had a press pass it would be my first question at the press conference! He's the highest graded recruit we've ever had. You don't find it concerning that he isn't seeing the court up 30 against a team who is our biggest rival? A team he would love to perform well against as he grew up in Iowa!!!

I'm not dissing TJ, hes a great coach and I trust him, so you can stop 'White Knight'ing. I just want to see this hometown kid get a chance.
I too would like to see him play more. I do not know the dynamic going on at the moment, coaches/player.

I can only hope that good things are in store for Omaha at ISU.

I was in the house tonight and it was a blast. Good energy. The place was rockin at times, but honestly it was just kind of a party atmosphere because we controlled it from the start. Gilbert's a stud, and BRE should go down as an all time fan favorite. Really just a fantastic night of basketball. Oh, and as always, **** the Hawks!

I didn't see it but I gotta know. Did anything get under Mcaffreys skin? He can sure act like a butt. Kind of like his future daughter-in-law.
At one point he was screaming "9 to 2" at the refs when Iowa had had 9 fouls called on them to 2 on us. Savage Eric Heft said something like "well that's what happens when you commit more fouls". Legend
