What I think is classless is how Jeremy and the moderators on this board always talk about not ripping on the other sites etc yet they let this thread stand and actually contribute to it to a thread doing exactly that.

If you have a problem with the thread, please report it and the moderating team will discuss it.

I have not seen anything out of line here. While we (Jeremy and the mods) to expect members to exhibit respect toward other sites and their owners - we don't expect members not to discuss articles wrote by these individuals.

Can I call you or Jeremy 'classless' in a post and have it remain up? Or can I call a post by you or Jeremy 'classless'? I don't think that would last 5 minutes on the board.

I've been called a lot of things on this board and I've left it up. Frankly I've only used my mod power once, it's not something I really get into.

But you are right, there shouldn't be any personal attacks. Regardless the only one I see is "paul clark is a geek" and I think Paul is man enough to handle that. Frankly, most of the discussion centers around the article and how people disagree with it. People have ripped Keeler and Nancy Clark a lot harder on here for their writing. If it centers around the article I don't see anything wrong with it.

Have you been making fun of Iowa for Dallas Clark getting kicked out of a girls basketball game, Pierre Pierce for not being allowed to leave the state and Babinoux and the pitbull? I'd say the majority of the people on this board think these things reflect poorly on Iowa. Tinsley getting arraigned for incidents at a bar does not reflect poorly on ISU?

The reason the article was written was because both events happened on the same day.

I've made zero posts making fun of any of those people. Although PP was an active member of their team at the time, where JT has been gone 6 years from ISU so it's completely different in my view.

If Paul Clark is going to post an article for ALL to read, he is open to critics.

Fair enough and a good point.

Good for you then. PP is not currently part of Iowa basketball but I am talking about his recent news of not being able to leave the state to pursue his dream of playing in the NBA.

And to say that these actions aren't somewhat embarassing to the university is kind of silly. I will always remember Tinsley fondly for his days at Iowa State, but when I heard of his later altercation, I though, oh man, not again.
