How was Switzerland? What country are you in now? Yes your life is way more interesting than mine.
Back home in Chicago now.

We did France, Germany, and Switzerland. A bunch of Christmas Markets along the Rhine at Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Strasbourg and Colmar. Christmas in Zurich plus acquired a 100% baby alpaca hat which is ******* awesome. Skiing in the Alps on the French/Swiss Border. New Years in Annecy and wrapped it up in Paris.

Have tons of pics but don't want to turn this into Instagram lol

It was really nice to completely shut off for multiple weeks which I hadn't done since like May 2021. Usually I do short trips (like our holiday BBall tourneys) which is still awesome but it takes a few days to wind down from work before you can really enjoy (for me anyway).

How about Slovenia?

We have an employee there, and I may be going there for a business thing. Also Jaz!
Slovenia I find to be a little sleepy. Which is totally fine but it didn't feel as lively as the other Adriatic or Slavic countries. From what I understand, lots of young people left when they joined the EU and the population skews older which leads to less nightlife and things.

But it is beautiful out there and if you're into mountain sports, it feels like its 99% mountain lol.

That sounds great. We had a Switzerland, Austria, Czech Rep trip planned pre-covid

Something different: we’re at the first ISU gymnastics meet of the season, versus Nebraska. Our second gal on floor exercise does her routine to, I kid you not, Juicy Wiggle. Talk about a way to fire up the crowd!
Also I’d venture to say the crowd size is close to some VB meets. No ISU students does mean empty end sections, but the rest of the lower section is easily 70-80% filled.

Well off the road at last. Didn't really want to cook so picked up a whole and simple pasta bowl from Aldis they are pretty darn good for the price point. Would buy again.

Saw their commercial for gymnastics the other night while watching the WBB basketball game.

"It's going to be different than anything it was before. That's what Iowa State, the Athletic Department, was looking for when they brought me in and they're definitely going to get that!"

Just because you own a BMW doesn't give you a license to camp in the left lane of the interstate at 74mph, I Nascar passed him and let his adaptive cruise do the distance readjustment.

Also my 1st part of work today pretty much sucked. Well hopefully the usual hard part goes ok. Today has been less than impressive so far.

Lew had some choice words for some of the drivers on our trip to/from Memphis.

Sometimes I find myself camping in the left lane. I think it goes back to when I just stayed there passing everything in sight. Now I try to maintain a more steady speed about 3-4 over the limit

Menards is doing their 15% off on everything that fits in the bag promotion. Filled my bag with like 5 things and when I got up to the checkout I start emptying the bag the cashier was like "you should've left it in the bag, but I saw you take it out, so I can still give you the discount." I was only trying to save her some trouble because the guy in front of me had like 50 items in his bag, all of which she took out herself.

Run a promotion but try to get out of it any way you can, real smart business decisions.

Is it a 15% mail in rebate or an actual discount?
