After hearing an interview with Ellis on KXNO I wasn't terribly impressed with him. He had some beef with ISU and Steve Malchow and aired some dirty laundry in the interview. Hobbs came off sounding entitled and petty IMO. I don't know if that relationship has been repaired, but I wouldn't be all that surprised if it hasnt.

I know Campbell has had him come in to speak to the team.

Thats good. I just know there was the thing where he quit saying he was from ISU in the player intros, which isn't that big of a deal, but then I heard the KXNO interview. He was mad because he came back for a visit once and requested they send him some tapes of him playing at ISU if I remember right. Steve Malchow, who he named specifically, said he would send him the tapes and supposedly never did. He was going off about ISU wasting his time and his time is valuable blah blah blah. It just seemed really odd for him to be going after ISU in a radio interview over something like that.

The fighting in the national media reminds me a lot of CF in the 2021 season.

I will be cheering for the Lions only because of their lifelong misery as a franchise.... but if the 49ers do win... I hope that Purdy just goes off and has an amazing day just to shut up all the national media.

Cowherd this morning said he watched 8 NFL QB's this weekend, and said Purdy was the 8th best one.
I was listening to Cowherd today and he was saying that Brock doesn't have all the traits of a great QB, like size, running ability, arm strength. Then he said he loves Kyler Murray. Murray throws a great deep ball and can run. JMAC then says that Kyler has those traits, except he can't win games. Cowherd says Murray doesn't have good players around him. I'm thinking, Brock is getting killed because he DOES have great players around him. Oh, and isnt Murray a size 5ft 5? Makes my head spin the things these guys say sometimes.

Absolutely, Brock did his job in Cleveland and led a beautiful last minute game winning drive, only to have their kicker miss a 40 yard field goal. 40 yard field goals are converted at an 85% success rate in the NFL, but their kicker blows it and suddenly the haters start up the "he can't come from behind" bullsh*t.
And that Cleveland drive was without Deebo and CMC!

Sorry if this has been brought up, but I'm trying to think and can't legit come up with an answer. Who was the last Cyclone to (A) be on a team in the super bowl, but (B) actually be a big timer contributor (starter)? It has to be Osemele right?
Didn't Seneca catch a pass in the SB for Seattle vs Pitt? I know he wasn't a "regular" though.

Imagine being such a CLOWN that you think Fields has something and would improve the 49ers. He's a complete disaster. Can't read a defense and can't throw accurately either.

He's not worthy to carry Brock_STAR's pads out to the practice field. Just no comparison at all.

Myself, I'm at the point that I'm not gonna continue to listen to the arguments. I'm done.

Brock Purdy will do what he can do for the 49ers. If he's not good enough, they will draft/trade over him. If their evaluation is that he's the future, then fine (maybe draft/trades should finally show interest in improving the OLIine).

Life is uncertain. Football, at the NFL level, is an expression of human fierce desire attempting to win the battle of the cave. With his coolness under pressure, and his uncanny ability to perceive the field in front of him (and somehow understand the pressures on his flanks), Purdy is an amazing cave warrior. I believe this is a key reason his teammates follow his lead no matter what.

If not a footballer, I believe Purdy could be one of our country's great military warriors (in my preference, a Marine Corps leader, why not be the best?) I say this because, imho, our nation needs women and men who can exercise their intelligence and judgment for the best of us all. Their cannot be a higher calling.

I might be wrong, but aren't Brock and Fran Tarkenton similar size?

A player is a player. If personal stats are required, how do we explain the exquisite athletes who overcome those who are certain they can not succeed? Success is the bottom line. If it's not, how do we explain the perfect human profiles who do not succeed?

Several of our great military warriors who won Medals of Honor are small guys. With height below 5-foot-6. If you're going to judge their courage and will and intelligence by their stature, you suck.
