Lol, saw the Greg Jennings input today. Wow, that was pretty bad. Actually very bad. Him, Ryan Clark, Cowturd...all such poor takes. Louis Riddick had about the best take lately. Not sure if it's been posted in here. Didn't go back through recent posts.

This talk reminds me on the convenience store talk

People actually watch this stuff?

Myself, I'm at the point that I'm not gonna continue to listen to the arguments. I'm done.

Brock Purdy will do what he can do for the 49ers. If he's not good enough, they will draft/trade over him. If their evaluation is that he's the future, then fine (maybe draft/trades should finally show interest in improving the OLIine).

Life is uncertain. Football, at the NFL level, is an expression of human fierce desire attempting to win the battle of the cave. With his coolness under pressure, and his uncanny ability to perceive the field in front of him (and somehow understand the pressures on his flanks), Purdy is an amazing cave warrior. I believe this is a key reason his teammates follow his lead no matter what.

If not a footballer, I believe Purdy could be one of our country's great military warriors (in my preference, a Marine Corps leader, why not be the best?) I say this because, imho, our nation needs women and men who can exercise their intelligence and judgment for the best of us all. Their cannot be a higher calling.

I enjoy looking at stats more than any national sports media.

I’m new to nfl but nba fan lifer. I watch and listen to games and analyze stats. Honestly just looking at stats and you’ll have better opinions than any of these guys, even some who played the game.

I have never seen a QB who engineered a winning drive in a playoff game receiving this much hate. Instead of being praised for being clutch, now he is being criticized for putting his team trailing in the 4th quarter. Purdy will never convince these idiots. If Niners win the Super Bowl, they will say Niners won despite Purdy. If Niners lose, it is all because of Purdy. To these idiots, Purdy is the only thing that is preventing Niners from winning the Super Bowl.

I was listening to Cowherd today and he was saying that Brock doesn't have all the traits of a great QB, like size, running ability, arm strength. Then he said he loves Kyler Murray. Murray throws a great deep ball and can run. JMAC then says that Kyler has those traits, except he can't win games. Cowherd says Murray doesn't have good players around him. I'm thinking, Brock is getting killed because he DOES have great players around him. Oh, and isnt Murray a size 5ft 5? Makes my head spin the things these guys say sometimes.
If you love Kyler Murray and not Brock Purdy it tells you how much that person knows about QB and football. Which is nothing. First Purdy is even bigger than that tiny guy. Second all Murray does is lose while Purdy wins. Just no sense there at all. Completely dumb.

I can’t wait until Brock starts turning his interviews from the modest “it’s about my teammates and I need to do better,” to being more of the BCB he deserves to be.

What Brock needs to do is bring out Kittle to bring his anger/trash talk translator. Brock says his answer, Kittle translates it into something else. Reprise the Key & Peele bit from when Obama was president.

i so wish at the end of the year after they win the superbowl that either, brock, kittle, or trent williams would get up there with a long ass sheet of paper and call out every single media person whose continuously said something bad

i know it won't happen but damn that would be sweet. Brock would never do it so it would have to be someone like Kittle or Williams.

That would be the best thing ever, someone needs to make this happen.

Kittle already does it to an extent. He's got a 20 minute segment on the Pat McAffee show yesterday where he throws lots of jabs about it.

Yeah, but he never called anyone out specifically, I don't think.

Lately, I think Deebo might do as good or a better job than Kittle!

As a non NFL fan, how much of the Purdy hate is because he's a clean-cut white dude? Reminds me of the Tebow hate, really.
I don’t think it’s that, I think it’s more NFL experts not wanting to admit they were wrong with him falling to last in the draft.

Of course Brady was a clean cut white dude that fell to 199 so we could both be wrong or maybe he took a bunch of crap I don’t remember.

You said the thing out loud that were not supposed to say… Goff gets the same grief despite being great this year. Allen gets roasted for his turnovers despite being more impactful than Mahomes. Why Love gets praise for not performing nearly as well and gets a free pass on the same criticism of turnover. Why talking heads think Justin Fields still is some great prospect despite 40 games of bad play.

There is the draft/evaluation thing that impacts it, but the media would really hate to see another 10 years of Purdy/Shanahan success (ala Brady/Belichick) when they’d rather Mahomes/Jackson/Stroud/Love/Prescott be the face of the league

A non-zero percentage because it doesn't matter who you are, people are going to hate you for your race/appearance. But from everything I've seen/heard it's an extremely small percentage. Tebow was much much more spotlight seeking than Purdy is. He was also much much more vocal about his beliefs/religion.
