Oh no. They’ve watched him. A lot. They are one of the weirdest, illogical fanbases in sports. It’s butthurt talking.
Any Hawk fan that tells you they watched a lot of Purdy in college is flat out lying.

They watched him for a full game twice (because they love reminding people he went 0-2 in those contest versus Iowa. Just remind them Brad Banks went 0-2 vs Iowa State as well.)

Only other time they would "watch" him was for "lowlights" here and there only if ISU lost a game that weekend.

We all watched Brock every play for 48 or so odd games in college. Biased in favor of him? Sure. But we know what he is capable of and really made of.

The defense is a big problem in the 2nd half of the season and playoffs. That's a huge problem against Kansas City too.
Yeah Mahomes has consistently shown he's dangerous with anything over a minute on the clock. But Brock is getting pretty good with his comebacks also.

I grew up with out a favorite pro FB team, so the last few yrs it's been easy to be on the Mahomes band wagon, but I'm a PurdyNiners fan now;):D

I'm so old I have an autographed photo of Dexter Green.

Absolutely loving seeing Brock do so well.
oh I'm right there with ya, I've got an autographed Vikings hat from Bud Grant. One of our clients played for Minnesota back in the day and used to go duck hunting with Bud in southern Arkansas and got that for me.

I'd argue they actually love pointing out that he was winless against Iowa, hoping that uninformed people don't realize he only played Iowa twice (wasn't a starter yet as a freshman, junior game cancelled due to COVID) and assume he was 0-4.

The 49ers defense was ranked 3 in scoring defense. Trent Williams was a 1st team all-pro. 6 other all-pro players. This is not a knock on Purdy, but factually the 49ers have a stacked team which is why they’ve been so deep in the playoffs the past 5 years. I am rooting for Purdy to get the SB win, but it isn’t a huge stretch to say that they have a great defense based on the numbers.

I think that they were really good with a lead where they could tee off on the qb. When they are in a tight game where the run is still an option they weren’t nearly as good.

One thing I’ll say, their OL has not been great outside of Williams. Purdy has gotten way more pressure and hits than either Love or Goff.

Boy, I feel sorry for the ducks. Yeah, I know the arguments for and against. We're learning so much, though, about how intelligent so many of these animals are.

For 7 years I went vegetarian. Never felt better in my life, working out - running, weight lifting, abdominal work. I have no excuse now, I eat meat. I'm regretful.

No...they always say "He never beat Iowa" and always in the context of him being a 4-year starter at ISU. I ALWAYS clarify their misleading remarks by reminding them that Purdy only played 2 games against Iowa.

The NFL's Quarterback Rating (QBR) is on a scale of 1-100. Purdy's QBR for the second half of the NFC Championship Game where he led his team to a record breaking come from behind victory was 99.1, which is near perfection. Incredibly clutch for a game manager.

Brocks rushing stats at ISU.
Not as good as I suspected, tho he "occasionally" was sacked for some pretty hefty loses, many of which could be blamed on a "mediocre" oline.
19 rushing tds.
365 attempts.
1177 yards.
Point being, hope Kyle gives Brock a green light to run....when Brock senses the op.

The photo below of Brock against Green Bay is from the top of a 1-28 WSJ article:

"Why the 49ers and Their Home City Are in a Decadelong Fight:
Santa Clara says the 49ers, who will head to the Super Bowl next month, haven't lived up to their financial promises. The team says it has delivered billions."

It fits nicely as background on my Windows laptop. I also like that it is dark and easier to read the titles of files and folders on the desktop.

Set on "Fit" there is space on the left and the right -- with slightly larger than icon-sized widths -- perfect for one column on each side for files, folders, or shortcuts (not on the photo).

Set on Fill or Span -- to cover the whole screen -- it cuts off Purdy's helmet some, and much of the white at the top (part of the stadium), enough that I wouldn't use them.
