WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

I'd add in that it was a rivalry game with a big crowd at Hilton in December so it is not exactly a March scenario "recipe" where Iowa will be playing the opening two games in front of their own 15,000 fans.

If there is a recipe it would seem to be "have a really good defensive team" and try to get Iowa into a low scoring half court game. And than hope it's one of those games were Martin, Marshall and others sort of disappear and Clark feels she needs to shoot a thousand times. If I was looking for a game plan I'd look at the two games with KSU this year but only thee elite teams in March have posts as good as Ayoka Lee. But who knows, two years ago Creighton pee'd in both our cereal bowls when it seemed to be set up for one of our teams to be Elite Eight bound.

No reason Hawks can't post in this general WBB threads, it's supposed to be non-Cyclone or general stuff only tangentially related to Cyclone stuff. It's hard to find a board that's open for general WBB talk, Boneyard is a bit but it's still pretty east coast centric. Wish we had @undersized_post post more, he/she is really knowledgeable overall fan. Same for Baylor fan @geewago. We do have a subset of fans here that will attack ANY post by a rival but that's just their opinion. I did not start this general thread as a place to brawl, CF has a forum set aside for that.
I come on many times to see your insight. Which I appreciate!

You are correct, there aren't a lot of sight that are open for general WBB talk. Wish there were more. This is usually the only section of Cyclone Fanatics that I visit.

How has it sucked for you? I've watched Peacock on a few different TVs and haven't had any issues.

People having issues with apps seems to be a hit and miss. I've got the MLB app on a Firestick and it can be glitchy as hell and freezes up sometimes. If I go to the game via the MLB web site on my laptop, not via the app, it flawless. Different connects, same wifi signal etc.

One the other hand, other than being slow as a turtle to navigate and find your game, ESPN+ has worked fine for me but we have peeps every week on CF saying they are having issues with the ubiquitous game thread post of "IS anyone else's stream breaking up?".

It's glitchy/choppy and I've talked to several others who've had the same issue. I have no problems on my laptop. My TV isn't the issue either.
Well that sucks. We just have Vizio TVs so nothing amazing but haven't had any issues with any of our apps, aside from watching games on Hulu Live sometimes the picture gets pixelated for a few seconds and then goes back to a sharp HD picture.

So give me an analysis of what Kansas State did to beat Iowa.
We shot horrible that night but the biggest thing I remember from that game was KSU just outworking and outhustling us all night. Seemed like every contested rebound, every loose ball, etc., KSU was getting after it and getting the ball and we weren't.

Baylor is favored by 4.5 tonight at home versus Texas. Texas will be without freshman star Madison Booker after she injured her hamstring.

Not sure who winning is best for us. Maybe Baylor since we have played them and beat them.

What's up with teams being low on players? A couple of extra schollys can't cost that much. Even if you only fill 11 schollys (instead of 15) and have terrible luck and 3 players are injured/ineligible. That still leaves 8 to compete. Maybe Zona is just looking for practice bodies?

Is Gaston still out too?
With all the injuries since Vic took over, what do you think that is about? Most have been in games,

I think she is. Bad luck. Seeing peeps on the interweb chattering about blaming AAU, fitness coaches, coaches and just about everybody for the seemingly high rate of injuries across NCAA this season but I think a lot of it is just bad luck.

Saw this saying Gaston and Booker are day-to-day so maybe that hamstring for Booker isn't a bad one.

EDIT: Booker and Gaston are playing

Booker playing. Texas looks athletic. Going to be blue collar v white collar when we play them. They have a big post (not overly impressed, but she’s big. Booker is def hurting.

Hard fought game in Waco. Texas totally deserved the win though. Played hard and hurt.

Texas maybe dodged another injury when Moore went down grabbing her braced knee. She came back into the game but was limping as was Booker who left the game to get her hamstring stretched.
