Sigh, this isn’t a money grab at this point, it’s trying to put rules/policy’s in place that can be regulated since the NCAA can’t do anything.
There also isn’t a P5 any more and their really isn’t a P4, it’s just a P3, I’m a little annoyed the Big12 is left out but that is 100% arrogance
The whole thing (this 20ish years of aggressive realignment) is 100% beyond all doubt a money grab and this is a tiny little news today is 100% a part of the whole big thing.
The money grubbers have really only squeezed out two historic programs with fan bases (Ore St, WSU), stranded two with non active fan bases in a completely ridiculous situation (Cal, Stan) and demoted a few teams that had only recently been demoted (USF, UConn).
Nobody is going to feel that effect in terms of TV ratings, it's only two small fan bases that care and were historically included. Leaving the Big 12 and ACC behind except for 6-8 additions would be a MASSIVE blow to national interest if they truly split away and like others said, if that's not what it's about these A-holes would be including other conferences.
You severely lack perspective on this topic. If Michigan State at three separate times had been very likely headed to the American or Mac you'd understand.
I fail to see how the ACC is "P3" in its current form or in the form where it's 100% likely to be gutted.
Your basketball conference has sucked balls for two decades, let's call basketball P1 or P2 if you want to include the Big East.
