I have us going 7-2 in 2nd half. Probably at Houston and one other road game (2-2 on the road). Protect Hilton (5-0). Decent shot at closing out with 5 straight wins.
Go 7-2 down the stretch (24-7, 13-5) and you likely have at worst a share of the Big 12 title and you are flirting with a #1 seed in Omaha. It is attainable. Protect Hilton (TCU, TTech, Oklahoma, WVU and BYU) and find a way to grab two more on the road (Houston, Cincy, UCF, KState). Hilton needs to be electric down the stretch.

I’m gonna say that I’ll miss the obligatory Texas game on LHN every year. As a loyal clone that now lives out of state and grew up on Pete Taylor, tonight was the perfect opportunity to plug in and listen to a couple awesome guys call a great Cyclone win.

These days it’s too easy for folks like me to tune into a tv broadcast and tune out our fandom. Great call by the guys tonight and a great win.
Kudos to John and Eric! It isn't said often enough, 'bout what a good job they do.

Getting a split @ Baylor and @ Texas?
I honestly don't know many teams in the Country that wouldn't sign up for that.
On the road! That was huge.

Now we have 5 of our remaining 9 games at Hilton. Big plus for this team.

We went through the gauntlet, but still not done. All remaining games are still very tough.

7-2 is great, but not a one seed. There are 2 guaranteed 1 seeds (Purdue, UConn) and a likely third in UNC. That leaves 1. 7-2 would leave us with 7 losses. That would be the 2nd most of any 1 seed in history (2017 Duke had 8, and Illinois, MSU, and Virginia had 7. Those are all blue bloods who get name recognition. I think a 2 seed would be attainable with that. However, I'm guessing we lose 3-4 on road, with a win at either Cinnci or UCF.

Great win. Though what exactly is our strategy with regards to clock management with a big lead or do we have none? It seemed like after every Texas made basket, we would inbound the ball as quickly as possible instead of taking our time since the clock is running. We also take shots early in the shot clock when we could use more. Seems like we don't have a clear strategy in these situations which is why we always blow big leads.

I’m now willing to entertain a conversation about a league title. Kansas probably killed their chance last night. That game @UH is the only one left on the schedule I’m thinking we wouldn’t be favored in. We have a legit shot at it.
I don't know, schedule looks pretty tough. I even think UCF is going to be a problem.

In looking at our schedule early in the season, I was thinking we could be pretty good and still realistically start out 1-8 or 2-7 in the Big 12. 6-3 at this point and only being soundly outplayed in one of those three losses is amazing at this point.

We could also still finish 8-10 or so :puke:. It's a tough league!
