I didn't get that from what he said. I think he's just pointing out thatwe're having significant trouble on the defensive end.

It's ok...he just thinks that since our shots were dropping in the first half, it automatically means we were playing good...and believes that it shouldn't matter if we play hard and smart since A&M is better than us anyways...and then results in calling people names on his keyboard.

No, you're just looking for another excuse like most Cyclone fans. A second half screw up that happens all the time is not that our shots "aren't falling" it's that we have a coach that can't keep the team in the game when the second half starts.

No we are playing pathetic defense, the loss is on our D. is that a good enough excuse for you?

Announcer had it exactly right, there. Game turned when they doubled Brackins.

If we just had someone else to step up and hit some shots when they do that, we're still in it. Unfortunately, we flounder in that respect. Not sure what it is, coaching, or players not executing. I find it hard to believe that we don't have a game plan for when a team doubles your best player, so it is really pointing at execution.

What to do about it is a whole different can of worms.

I would love for someone to call into gmacs show on Monday to ask his opinion on why we fold every game in the 2nd half? I think I know the answer but I'd like to hear what he would say.

I hope all 4 additions next year can all really fill up the stat sheet offensively... if not.. ugh.

And if you understand so much we always have a crap part of the game don't we? Yes i guess i only played basketball for 9 years without knowing the concept of basketball? If the players arent going to get there act together after Mac has gotten on there case what do you expect him to do? He can't go out there and play for them.

I expect them to play with the same effort and intensity on the defensive end that they always do...

We usually go into "crap parts" of the game, but they're hardly ever because of a lack of hustle, or intensity on defense like today...I can tolerate cold shooting, guys making tough shots against us, and an occasional brainfart on the court...what annoys the hell out of me, is when a guard drives past our guy, and then our other 4 guys stand and watch as he drives into the lane for an uncontested layup...this has happened multiple times today...

This second half screw up happens repeatedly...Who can you blame other than McDermott? Even if it's that the players aren't conditioned properly, that's McDermott's fault for not properly doing so since I'm sure in practice he has them sit around just like the team does during the game.

Ok lets blame McD...now what?
