Kansas is going to be without McCullars again tonight, and rumor is he might not play again this season. If he misses the rest of the season, KU is going to lose at least 2 more before the tournament and should drop them to a 4 seed. The committee is going to see that they haven’t performed well without him and will seed them accordingly.
They aren't dropping to a 4 with their resume with or without McCullar. They've actually been playing well for a few weeks now. And losses against good teams don't do much damage.

;)Has North Carolina wrapped up “their” 1 seed with their dominating win over a depleted Miami team at home.

We literally have the same win at TCU.

Yeah, you have to look at the whole picture though.

We have 4 Q1A wins and they have 4. So similar number of top tier wins. Though I would argue a win over Houston should mean more on our behalf.

We are 5-4 in Q1 and Baylor is 6-7.

Neither team has any bad losses.

They have some big time non-conference wins we do not. Auburn on a neutral, Florida on a neutral.

According to the Torrvik team sheet ranks...

Baylor resume average: 11
Iowa State resume average: 11.5

Baylor quality average: 14
Iowa State quality average: 9.5

We may have a slight edge at the moment but it's close. To say otherwise is nonsensical.

There is a certain irony in to people complaining about B12 gaming the NET by wailing on bad teams. But it seems like being able to beat bad teams by 50 points might have some correlation with being a good team.

Bump. Kansas is just a good middle of the road team without McCullars. They should have at least 10 losses by the time the NCAA tournament starts. I wouldn’t be surprised if KSU gave them a run for their money too, to make it 11 losses.

Tang and the boys won't be able to keep their composure in that building. Kansas will win.

Just have to win our games at this point. KU's a non factor imo, and we control our own destiny. The conference schedule was brutal compared to this tail end stretch. Be nice to even things up with BYU and OU.

Kansas getting pushed out of Omaha would be amazing. The secondary market will be flooded with tickets.

It will be interesting to see how the committee will deal with the McCullar situation. They are clearly different without him. I feel like he has to at least play a few games for them to assume he can be an effective contributor in the tournament. If it is clear he won't be back this season then they should take a hit for that. They are in for some losses down the stretch.

You watch games without McCullar and you just wonder where the points come from. Dickinson is obviously going to get his, but Adams is a role player and Harris is not a scorer. Furphy has come on but is still a freshman and after that you have considerable drop off. That's just not a very good offensive team without McCullar.

They are gonna lose at Baylor and at Houston too. Gonna be pretty tough to make excuses for them with a 10-8 conference record.
How much is everyone realistically expecting KU to drop after last night? I fully expect to see them on the 2 line today still. I think it's after the losses pile up they will start to fall but their floor is a 4 seed I think. ISU shouldn't have a problem at all jumping them if we take care of business.

Last night probably pushed them off the 2 line. Their NET s down to 17.

Their lack of depth shouldn't get a free pass IMO. There's rumors out there that he may be done for the year so yeah he has to play a few games between now and the end of the season or I think they need to drop their seed line. Even with McCullar, their lack of depth makes KU extremely vulnerable.
