I don't think Bama is as good as people think, but their profile is the type of team that can have success against Iowa State. As a team they shoot .381 from 3 on a volume of 11.6 makes per game. They have two regular starters at about 40% or better (.443, .397) with a third at .342 all in the neighborhood of 2 makes a game. And they have another part-time starter at .445 with similar volume. They also have a bench guy hitting .418 at around 1 make a game.

I don't think they will care much if ISU forces them to take 3s. The question would really be if they can take care of the ball. They average 12 TOs a game but how will they handle ISU's pressure.

I feel like our defense would really speed them up though. That typically drops teams percentage.

They'd be a team I would worry about a little bit because if there is one tendency our D has, it's giving up 3s on occasion.

Sounds like someone who wasn't in Auburn Hills when we got bent over with no lube. Talk about something I don't want to have flashbacks of...
We needed to switch hotels that night. We were where the team was staying prior. I told my brother **** this let's go home. He told me to wake him up when we got to Indiana to drive the rest of the way. He woke about daybreak asking where we were. I said Wolcott.

Based on the responses I've received it doesn't sound that way.

If we want good attendance we want Detroit. Plus the odds of Purdue busting are pretty solid which would really open up tickets.

Order of priority for me

1.) Win Big 12 regular season
2a.) Earn Omaha as first-round site
2b.) Get Midwest or West region
3.) Win Big 12 Tourney
4.) Avoid high volume, high percentage 3 point shooting team in Round of 32
4.) Earn 2 seed
5.) Get the South region if we don’t get West/Midwest (avoid the East and potential UConn in Boston in E8, if we get there)

i would put 'win big 12 tourney' at the very bottom. i have never cared less about KC than i do this year. this team needs a bye that week.

We are most certainly a lock even if we implode the rest of the way. Unlikely. If we win out and win the Big 12. Possible 2 seed. Lose out, no worse than a 7.

Could be quite the swing in styles if you get Virginia and Alabama back to back.

Might only need to score 20 to beat Virginia at this point.
Our guys would be up for the test. Love the fact they have found multiple ways to win.

It would just be nice to land in the midwest with Purdue or out West with Arizona. But at this point, I won't be surprised being on the same side of the bracket as Uconn and Houston.

The more I think about it, the less worried I am about a long run in the B12. This team is tough as nails and even if we're lethargic in our opening game in the NCAA tourney, I'm zero percent worried about this team losing to a 14 or 15 seed.

We're also going to face a 6 or 7 seed in round 2, and we're just the better team than all of these types of teams right now.
