Were those two teams ever ones we were worried about get Omaha? We are (or were) worried about Kansas, Baylor, Marquette, Wisconsin. Memphis/Indy/Charlotte are all closer to Bama and Auburn than Omaha.

If baylor could move ahead of Alabama in overall seed could that affect anything? Send them to Memphis over Alabama?

other than my strong desire to see Baylor burned to the ground, as long as ISU stays ahead of Baylor I couldn't care less what Baylor moving ahead of Alabama affects.

Dunno. I assume Houston will be in Memphis and so will Tennessee? But I could be wrong.

there's a certain irony that Knoxville is actually a lot closer to Charlotte than it is Memphis, but Memphis is considered a more desirable location for Tennessee than Charlotte. Maybe because Tennessee is a "statewide" school, and Memphis would be closer for most of the fans. Otherwise, (shrug).

Well, the thought would be that if Baylor gets to memphis, they're not competing with us for Omaha.

but then like I said, as long as we stay ahead of Baylor I couldn't care less where they land. (I understand what you're saying, though - just expressing my own opinion on the subject)

For sure. I'd just like to have that extra cushion in case the committee sees things differently.

TCU probably underperformed more this year than any team in the league
Not sure underperformed is the right word. They honestly should have won that game in Lawrence...the refs bailed KU out 100% and you can't tell me otherwise. They beat OU. They beat Houston. They won at Baylor.

They have losses by 4 to Cincy. By 1 to Iowa State. By 2 to Texas Tech.

They're really close to tied with us honestly.

Testifying
I still think TCU is a dangerous team and that they can beat A LOT of teams.

If we win out I don’t see how a 14-4 big 12 team isn’t a top 6/7 team regardless of Baylor’s non conf or head to head home game. That would be an incredible record vs this conference.

I forgot about UT, who has done worse vs expectations, but they were picked 5th preseason and with their returning talent, they were expected to better than they are. Still good, don't get me wrong, as this conference will do that to you.
