Yeah, i disagree with your idea that everything is gravy. Is that difficult to understand? You disagree with my personal expecations?

It's come out by reliable sources (Blum) that ISU was in discussion for the 4th #1 or 1st #2 in 2000. 1 seed was out west not sure where the first 2 rounds would have been played or 2 seed Midwest with 1st 2 rounds in Minneapolis. ISU administration pushed for the 2 seed to get the Minneapolis games. Horrible mistake in hindsight but understandable at the timeI think we'd still get Omaha if we're at the 1/2 level, but didn't something similar happen in 2000? We got the 2 seed and Minneapolis the first weekend, but was it worth having to go to Detroit?
Would've played in Salt Lake and Albuquerque to get to the Final Four from the West that year. It's come out by reliable sources (Blum) that ISU was in discussion for the 4th #1 or 1st #2 in 2000. 1 seed was out west not sure where the first 2 rounds would have been played or 2 seed Midwest with 1st 2 rounds in Minneapolis. Which we would have done easily unfortunatelyWould've played in Salt Lake and Albuquerque to get to the Final Four from the West that year.
No.I haven't watched Marquette play this year. Are they really good enough for a 2 seed?
Marquette is a dow joneser up and downNo.
It’s ******* Marquette.
I’m not saying this happens, but something similar could happen this year, where we push for Omaha by getting the lowest two seed. But then get saddled in the East region with UConn in Boston, if the Huskies are the top overall seedIt's come out by reliable sources (Blum) that ISU was in discussion for the 4th #1 or 1st #2 in 2000. 1 seed was out west not sure where the first 2 rounds would have been played or 2 seed Midwest with 1st 2 rounds in Minneapolis. Learn basketball, we just faced the #1, #10, and #20 defense in the last 13 days. It's almost like elite defenses can make good offenses look bad sometimes.

Maybe that's why I'm not thinking about this right. But if you have Houston, Purdue, UConn, and ISU as 1 seeds then the sites would be:They give you your closest site for the first round. Might be west regional but it would be Omaha
That makes no sense. It's a long shot but if we get the 1 we won't get Omaha. Would you rather have the 1 go out west or get the 2 and get Omaha?
2023 number 1 seedsMaybe that's why I'm not thinking about this right. But if you have Houston, Purdue, UConn, and ISU as 1 seeds then the sites would be:
Memphis-Houston
Indianapolis-Purdue
Boston-Uconn
Omaha-ISU
You are telling me that the committee wouldn't put a 1 seed in the Western time zone?
The other sad part about how it played out. The number one seed in each of the other 3 regions got beat fairly early in the tourney. MSU was the only #1 seed to survive to the E8. Where we got to play them as a #2. The rest is history.Which we would have done easily unfortunately
Yes, ISU would be in the West regional which is LA, but the first 2 rounds would definitely be in Omaha. Sweet 16 and elite 8 in LAMaybe that's why I'm not thinking about this right. But if you have Houston, Purdue, UConn, and ISU as 1 seeds then the sites would be:

Brooklyn-Uconn

Yep, final four was two 8 seeds, a 5 seed and a 1 seed. ISU lost in the national championship, it just happened to be the elite 8The other sad part about how it played out. 2023 number 1 seeds
KU played in DSM
Houston and Alabama played in Birmingham, AL
Purdue played in Columbus, OH
There were only 2 sites in the western time zone last year and there was no number one in that time zone.
Ok. If we get a number 1 seed and don't play in Omaha there will be hell to pay.Yes, ISU would be in the West regional which is Salt lake, but the first 2 rounds would definitely be in Omaha. Sweet 16 and elite 8 in Salt lake
