Just absolutely disgusting. Ruining these young men’s lives. Dresser was spot on. 100% witch hunt
***WARNING: UNPOPULAR OPINION***

Nobody's lives are ruined. Huge, unfair set back? Sure. Lives ruined? Absolutely not. These kids have 50-60 yrs ahead of them and it's not like wresting is 1) a golden ticket and 2) there is a bigger pinnacle in the wrestling world than 1 yr at the college level. I would guess the amount of money these kids will get will set them up for even greater success in life in the long run than compared to anything they could have done on the wrestling mat this year..

"Paniro, would you mind sitting out a year for a million $$$ settlement? Hell yes." Talk about a real golden ticket!

Metcalf got dinged a year for NOT breaking the rules. If they let their lives be ruined that would be the real shame.

Enyi Uwazurike potentially lost his NFL career. That destroyed his primary livelihood and potentially held him back from creating generational wealth for him and his family.

There are a lot of players with a lot more serious convictions (huge difference) than Enyi currently playing in the NFL. If Enyi is worth it, teams will pay him. This settlement might be worth more than what he would've/could've/should've in the NFL. I'm no lawyer, but he maybe able to sue a team for holding any of this against him in the future.

I love how many national sports media outlets (ESPN!) were all over this story last summer and haven’t reported on any of the recent updates. :mccaffery::curse:

UPDATED

Americans keeping USA out of the Olympics what a crazy concept these days. But congrats to Austin Gomez on being a future Olympian

There are multiple football players who will miss out on the opportunity to make generational wealth and are currently being black balled by other pathways because of the stigma of gambling on their sport. Lives ruined? No. But the opportunity to do what less than .01% of the population can do? Absolutely.
