The committee has said those play ins are for at large teams. AQ avoid Dayton expect the 16s of course.

Yes, First Four is for at-large ... my post maybe didn't state it clearly. (i.e., Drake can't be in Dayton). The specific seed line may vary - happens to look like 11 for each currently.

Michigan State kind of sucks, I get it they have a good NET rating but unless they win the Big 10 tournament, they will have 14 loses. I'm sorry, there is no way they are taking a Big 12 team with 14 losses.

I found a site that had the rankings as of selection Sunday. They started in 2021.

For 2021, Penn State was the highest rated that missed at #42.
For 2022, OU was the highest rated that missed at #39.
For 2023, North Texas was the highest rated that missed at #38.

2023: #66 Arizona State, #67 Pittsburgh made it in somehow (PIG)
