DeVries to OU makes a whole lot of sense.

Porter is a devout Catholic and Chicago native. If he can't get it done there, I'm not sure anybody can.
Makes no sense to me. OU doesn't give a crap about basketball.

I really don't understand Michigan State. Their record is not much different from Iowa or OSU. Overall record / Big 10 record / Q1 / Q2 / Q3 / Q4:

MSU: 18-13 / 10-10 / 3-8 / 5-5 / 6-0 / 4-0
OSU: 19-12 / 9-11 / 3-6 / 2-5 / 9-1 / 5-0
Iowa: 18-13 / 10-10 / 3-8 / 5-3 / 4-2 / 6-0

Yet the first team is #25 in NET and the others are #54 and #60.

I guess that win over Baylor in Detroit carries a lot of weight. Or maybe the true way to "game" NET is to lose as many Q1&2 games as you want, just don't lose any Q3 games.

Iowa and MSU are probably both going to have 14 losses after the conference tourney. There is zero chance a Big 12 team with that many losses and so few good wins would make the NCAA tourney.

Devries isn't going go Oklahoma. That's career suicide, he's probably drawing better crowds at Drake than he'll get at that school.

I expect he'll wait for Fran or McDermott to retire.

Ya it’s not OK that DU fans should worry about, it’s about the chain reaction that whomever does take that job creates.

I'd also add that it would do Tucker a whole lot of good to play better competition and get somewhere with better S&C resources.

His body needs an overhaul if he's going to play in the NBA long term and it obviously hasn't happened at Drake.

Is it just me or does he seem like he’s gotten clunkier every year? Great player, I like watching him, but it seems like they went the “put on an unnatural 20 lbs route” and it works in some areas but overall it’s a negative.

His body needs an overhaul? How do you overhaul a body? He lost a lot of fat he had and added muscle. Also, I don't see him as an NBA guy.

Drop some weight and switch focus to speed and agility training with weight training being secondary. I definitely can see him as an NBA if he really measures out to 6’7” or taller with his ability to create for himself I can definitely see him being two-way.

Agreed. I'm not saying he's fat by any means but he's got a little gut to him and there isn't any more definition in his shoulders than there was two years ago.

He's got a really, really solid game that translates pretty well to the next level, he just needs the body and quickness to go with it.

He isn't going to make himself into some fast quick guy though. He doesn't have good lateral movement not a great athlete. Has trouble staying in front of guards. His best bet on being an NBA guys is being sort of an undersized stretch 4 which means you need the strength. I think someone could take him as a second rounder but to me he looks like a GL guy.

I just think of last year in the tournament and Miami's athletes were just too much for Tucker. The only thing he did well is he had 8 rebounds.

Watching the Drake- Indiana State replay. These are two tournament teams, would be a shame for Indiana State to get left out for teams like Michigan State or one of those middling Big East or ACC schools.
I feel Like Indy St is a lock at this point. Theyve been Top 35 in NET all season, no team below 35 net has been left out since it came in to use in 18-19. That would be a ****** precedent to set by the committee.

I found a site that had the rankings as of selection Sunday. They started in 2021.

For 2021, Penn State was the highest rated that missed at #42.
For 2022, OU was the highest rated that missed at #39.
For 2023, North Texas was the highest rated that missed at #38.

I think NC State missed in 2019 with a ranking of 33. But the point stands that Indiana State not being selected with a ranking of 29 as of today would be way out of the norm.
