Duke should automatically drop a seed line for the Patrick McCaffrey rumors even if there is no truth to it.I would like to think so too. Almost didn't include them.. but, ya know, Duke..

I didn't say it's our choice. I'm saying the committee trys to put the top two teams in a conference in different regions.If we were to be ahead of Marquette on the seed line, we could have our choice of the MW or South, I'm guessing. Maybe you can only have your choice of location and not necessarily which region.
What are the main rooting interests for today?
Yeah I have zero concerns on where we end up in the Elite Right. It's hard enough to get there and if they do get there that is a wildly successful season. Just get good matchups to get to the Sweet 16 and then let it fly from there.No matter who you play in the Elite 8, it's going to be a really good team and there are 3 really hard games just to get there.
No I don’t think so. Their ceiling is probably the last 3 seed (fighting with KU, Illinois, Bama, and Auburn for that)If KY wins the SEC, do they jump to a 2 seed?
That’s a very good pointFor those gnashing their teeth about the Cyclones potentially being the #2 seed in the East, for this to even be an issue, ISU will be in the Elite 8 - which has only been done one time in the Modern Era. So, basically, not a problem. Playing in Omaha is much, much more important, and that is basically locked up. "Let's Go State!".

We won’t be put in the South. We can eliminate any concerns of getting hotel rooms in DallasI didn't say it's our choice. I'm saying the committee trys to put the top two teams in a conference in different regions.
I think Duke is pretty locked in for Pittsburgh at this pointI just enjoy doing this every once and a while...

Brooklyn = (2) Connecticut; (12) Kentucky
Charlotte = (4) Tennessee; (5) North Carolina
Indianapolis = (1) Purdue; (7) Marquette
Memphis = (3) Houston; (10) Baylor
Omaha = (8) Iowa State; (13) Kansas
Pittsburgh = (9) Creighton; (11) Duke
Salt Lake City = (6) Arizona; (14) Illinois
Spokane = (15) Alabama; (16) Auburn
I think we look pretty safe for Omaha.
Kansas might lose that to Illinois. The competition for Memphis between Baylor, Duke, and Kentucky matters, too -- if Baylor slips, then one of those other two might end up in Omaha.

Big issue with that is UCONN fans have known they'll be in their own back yard for over a month. Tickets will be sparse.I like that if we play UCONN they will have minimal time to game plan against our defense.
In addition, there's no guarantee a 1 seed would be in Elite 8 (although any team that advances that far, by that point, seeding doesn't much matter).For those gnashing their teeth about the Cyclones potentially being the #2 seed in the East, for this to even be an issue, ISU will be in the Elite 8 - which has only been done one time in the Modern Era. Yeah, if we get to the Elite Eight, I don't really care if it has to be in AustraliaFor those gnashing their teeth about the Cyclones potentially being the #2 seed in the East, for this to even be an issue, ISU will be in the Elite 8 - which has only been done one time in the Modern Era. It will be but getting to play where the one seed has a decent shot of getting upset makes the stranglehold on tickets much less. The possible exception being Arizona as a 2 in LA would have a huge advantage ticket wise over UNC or Tennessee.No matter who you play in the Elite 8, it's going to be a really good team and there are 3 really hard games just to get there.
