Choosing between being a 2 seed in Omaha or a 1 seed somewhere else is a very tough choice for me. I'm on the fence, but I guess I would fall on the 1 seed side.

The good news is that either option is absolutely great, so I won't complain too much if we end up a 2 seed.
We’re getting Omaha no matter what. Whether we are a 1 or 2. I feel like we need to pin this to the topic.

Love this tweet!

Just looking at KenPom alone, last night shot us all the way to 5 and dropped Houston to 2. Houston was far and away #1 the entire year and #2 was not even close to them. The metrics shift from this game was indeed amazing.

I don’t necessarily disagree (I don’t know Tennessee’s metrics). I’m just going off what Bracket Matrix has

Not every bracket on bracket matrix has updated. And we have moved up solidly. And the difference between us and Tennessee on there is miniscule. I imagine if that trend holds the average keeps moving up and we finish as the top number two on bracket matrix

Linardi and Palm are bad at placing teams on seed lines, they usually get all teams in the field though. But most everyone who's dialed into this process can field 68. Seeding them separates men from boys
For comedic purposes, according to that data, I thought everyone should know that this little sunflower I supposedly the best bracket predictor on the internet

Iowa State will be Omaha no matter their seed.

And we also became the official #1 defense in the nation. Houston dropped to #2.

That isn't the scenario, its is it a one in Omaha or a two seed in Omaha

ISU being in the discussion drives clicks.

There are 2 main reason I see that we won't get it. I think either in a vacuum would stop us. Both and there's no real chance.

1. The B12 wouldn't get two 1 seeds unless it was undeniable. This is not clear enough scenario to justify it.

2. The committee has been very clear that they don't want to reward weak NCSOS. I think Tennessee or Arizona would always get in over us for that last spot.

But it since we are right there, the media can spend all day discussing "what if" and more people will tune into the bracket reveal tonight.

Why has it become acceptable for the College Football Playoff committe to discuss "eye test" but not college basketball? Iowa States and North Caolinas resumes are extremely similar. Iowa State just absolutely DOMINATED the Big 12 tournament and dismantled #14 Baylor and put a historic beatdown on #1 Houston. UNC meanwhile barely squeaks by a mediocre Pitt and was controlled by NC State.

Eye test...all else equal...who is the better team right now???
The eye test results are.... UNC has blue jerseys.
