It's a debate every year. Nobody here loves Indiana State but it's a legit topic this time over year. I'd you don't like bubble talk then just scroll along.
I think generally it's a part of the trend of getting more P6 teams in while having fewer Mid Majors. Part of the fun is watching the Goliaths fall to the Davids. (Unless it's your Goliath).

That's my interest. Not Indiana State specifically, just that they seem worthy while KSU, OU, or MSU seem like "meh."

I can't believe how much interest there is on this board about Indiana State. Why the hell do people give a rip if they make it or not? Because they happen to play in a mid major conference that happens to be home to two Iowa teams that we no longer play and who we also don't care about?

My interest in the MVC is a quick "oh, neat" if Drake or UNI make the dance. Beyond that, who gives a damn? Yet I have been watching posters fret in thread after thead for a month about the fate of Indiana State. I don't get it.
For me it's because of the uniqueness of their resume and how you balance old school traditional thinking with the analytics world.

They literally do not shoot anything other than layups and 3s which takes their offensive efficiency off the charts and makes them metric darlings when you compare it to the actual results that don't have a ton of meat other than the Drake and Bradley wins.

They're just a really interesting case that could have implications for how teams schedule and play in the future, I'm curious to where they fall and how the committee sets the precedent.

Iowa State will be either a #1 or #2 in Omaha, so while it is theoretically possible for an #8/#9 seed to have *a* home game in Omaha it is impossible for such a seed to have *two* home games.

If they win the first game they play the same arena in the 2nd round.

Getting ready to watch a replay of the Houston game. Will be interesting to see how different the game is when I’m not inebriated.
I watched it on Hulu today after watching it in person. It was fun both ways.

Should CBS be concerned that the final round of the Players championship is significantly more exciting than the Big10 championship? Even a close game in that conference is still boring. Maybe it’s about time they switch up their lineup to put better games heading into the selection show.

Having dinner with my wife's family two nights in a row. I can't even watch the selection show and my wife is going to be upset because I'll want to be on my phone.

Have you had a conversation about what she could do as a thank you for these dinners? I’ve found that open conversations about this sort of thing usually lead to better results than just assuming you'll be rewarded for being a good sport.
