The Mountain West is the A10 or Valley with a football TV contract that gives them exposure and allows them to buy more home games. They're the ones gaming the metrics.
The biggest difference is that the A10 and Valley actually win games in the tournament. I'd have to pull the A10 numbers but The Valley is 12-4 in it's last 16 First Four/First Round Games.
