The tips times haven’t changed in years. It’s always been like this for as long as I can remember. This is all based on North Carolina/Bama. That’s their money maker for Thursday.

Not much national interest in Clemson/Arizona so put that against UCONN and the east coast fans. Plus NC rematch.

Then you have ISU/Illinois which has the potential to be the best game of the slate as the night cap and that will pull all the viewers from UNC/Bama once finished.

I tend to forget that 10pm Eastern is still considered Prime Time. Being relatively new to the Eastern time zone, it still catches me off guard how late some games are.

That game hits the CBS sweet spot. 9-9:30 tip on the east coast but now the west coast is home for a 7-7:30 tip.

Field of 68 podcast is a joke. I listened to that podcast today and was waiting on their analysis of ISU and Illinois. I'm not sure who it was but some moron said they fell asleep during our game and so he didn't have anything to say. Their take was a joke so I unfollowed that and then tried to find another pod to listen to about Saturdays games. These pundits are not very good at their jobs. Probably more on how Illinois offense is so great blah blah and not realizing defense has boded well more for deeper runs than offense.
From what I heard they basically said Illinois would most likely beat us, and if we somehow got past Illinois we have no chance vs UCONN.

I wouldn't have thought we were that high in comparison, but I guess someone has to pay those managers that are spying on Tang
I know I've seen someone suggest the AD spreads the operating costs of the ISC across different sports when this stuff gets reported to whatever oversight group gets financials. There's no way ISU is spending two times as much as Purdue on basketball

Yeah, not really any substance behind it. Prototypical national pundit garbage who latches onto the bigger brands. That's fine, the guys can keep flying under the radar. Was nice to see Otz in the final four coaches for COTY.

Yeah and it was basically like UCONN wants not part of Illinois. lol they would score whenever they wanted on Illinois and it wouldn’t be close.

Over their last 10 games against B1G foes Illinois has given up over 80 points per game 7 times. We aren't talking about a bunch of high power offenses here either. This feels like a game where Gilbert can get to the rim and Ward can really cook as well. Iowa State will be able to score in those one, it all boils down to our defense which I love.
that is because Big 10 teams have more offensive firepower. :)
