What I've seen of this LSU team reminds me of some talented but highly dysfunctional NBA teams I've seen over the years. I've felt for a while Iowa/CC might stomp them.

Why do teams continually try to run with Iowa? Very hard to beat Iowa at their own game. Need to slow it down, play defense and grind it out.

Already turning out like I predicted going in. LSU has no idea how to defend Iowa... and not the discipline either. It shows.

Maybe it's just the jersey/school colors but I get 2004 Lakers vibes.

Lots of talent together that just can't quite make it work.

I don't remember if that team had dysfunction but there was just kind of something missing (or maybe Malone and GP were too old).

Iowa is not interested in defense. Pack it into a 2-3 zone and bait the taller more athletic team into shooting 3s or long 2s. They know their offense is better than pretty much everyone else’s. I’ve yet to see a team in the tournament patient enough to make Iowa play d and get the ball to the rim.
