An Iowa win, which would be a major upset, would help bring more attention to Midwest women's hoops. More eyes on Audie Crooks next season and less focus on coastal teams.

Staley seriously dislikes Iowa and CC. There won't be any lost focus on her part, and this year's team IMO is much more balanced in terms of post/perimeter, Iowa won't be able to just pack it in and give them open looks all night.

SC has too much talent, will win by 20+.
There’s zero chance South Carolina wins by 20+ imo. Clark will have a much better shooting day unless Staley copies what Geno did defensively.

Think there will already be eyes on the midwest, just not on our league. USC and the next Big Ten hyped player, JuJu Watkins, will be playing a lot of midwest teams. USC may be west but they are in a midwest centered league. Without a league network, ISU will have to play their way into getting more national games. Might have to consider changing our scheduling philosophy Crooks junior and senior years and play some marquee non-conference games but i don't see that happening. Going to be hard to compete PR-wise with flashy guards like Bueckers, Watkins, Booker, Harmon and Hidalgo, all Top Ten teams that will be playing other Top Ten teams.

Good question. Why doesn't the Big 12 have its own network? Did Texas mess that up with their Longhorn network? The Big 12 should have chased them and their ass kissing Sooner buddies out earlier.

Yeah not how it works. Notre Dame has been a power for a long time. Doesn’t do **** for us, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, etc. We will get recognition if we start winning a lot and making Final Fours with Audi and co. No different than what Iowa has done. Just win.

Too late now. SEC and Big Ten have theirs and since that time the cable channels and streaming services has all been pretty much turned upside down. Pac-12 is breaking up in part because their little network was a bust and their teams were playing in obscurity. Hell, for all of the JuJu Watkins hype, until late season she was not on national TV. She will now be the B10's new It Girl. ESPN+ is good for Big 12 team fans, love being able to see all of the games, but doesn't do jack for national fans other than very dedicated WBB followers. ISU at Iowa will be a good opportunity. Not sure if that will be a B10 or ESPN game though,

The all-time facebook post I seen from a Hawkeye fan just this morning was:

"However the game goes today, What CC has done while at Iowa is far more impressive than hopping on super teams to cherry pick rings at UCONN. These old head W players just hate that she stayed home and has had this much success"

Their fans are so delusional they don't realize that if she had been recruited by UCONN she would have been there and been "cherry picking rings". It was her dream school.

So guess they won their super bowl already in WBB by beating let me check the 3 seed UCONN.

To be fair, she could have jumped in the portal to a guaranteed championship team as well. Certainly the opportunities would have been there

I wonder if Van Lith from LSU will transfer to Iowa for next year. She has the right pedigree.

CC will have to score 50 points for Iowa to win. She‘s not going to score 50.

I really don't see this. Iowa seems to be much better at offensive movement than teams like SC or LSU.

Upper Tier SEC schools just use athletes and their size to win. That doesn't seem to work against Iowa.

They shoot well (CC, Martin, marshall) then it will be a tough day for SC.
