do NOT look at it without those special glasses. Wish I would've known that.

As a dad, I greatly approve of this joke.
Lucky. I think the darkness in the middle of the day would be the coolest part of it all. That was cool. Stars were out, total night time. Very cool.
In the DM area it was supposed to be about 83% coverage at Max. Of course the closer you are to totality the higher that number gets.Pretty cool. I'd guess roughly 90-95% coverage.
Waiting for the kid to wake up from his nap so I can show him.
OOOOOOOHHHHH, THAT'S THE SPOT. RIGHT THERE. JUST A LITTLE MORE. PERFECT.Feels like there’s something else happening to her during that video…
I agree. If I had time and whatever, I would do it and make a trip out of it. This was underwhelming.I really need to get into totality next time
Next one in the Contiguous US.....Aug. 23, 2044.I really need to get into totality next time
You can now tell your kids you were once "mooned" by God.Just experienced totality. Nearly 4.5 minutes. The clouds in Texas cooperated with us! That was awesome! Glowing black dot in the sky indeed. It got almost cold too.
Our damn phone did the same light thing. Was completely dark though. Really neat. Watched everyone's garage lights and the street lights flicker then go on fully, then they went back out as it quickly got brighter.iPhone tried to brighten it up, but you can get an idea of how dark it got lights inside the house are on behind us so it’s causing some shadows too but that was cool View attachment 127179
