he should he has all the answers. he thinks getting rid of those three will solve all the problems
Busch could play 2nd and 3rd so I'd be in favor of Madrigal and Mastrobuoni never seeing Wrigley again. But Wisdom as a right hand bat off the bench has value.

It obvioisly won't solve all the problems but it's a start to cutting some of the dead weight on the roster and opening up some opportunities to get some younger guys big league experience. Just delaying the inevitable as i sure hope we aren't planning to keep some of these guys around past this season.

Best case scenario right now is Hendricks and Taillon start to pitch well and a big market, contending team needs an OF like Happ (assuming he waves his NTC). Even if you get pennies on the dollar, you move them. Give Davis, Canario, or Caisse some consistent AB’s to see what you have.

Bellinger opts out, options on Smyly, Neris, and Bote are declined, and Wisdom is traded to a small market team for a bullpen piece. The FA crop is underwhelming for 2025 but there are potential pieces that make sense with the abundance of payroll the Cubs will have.

going to agree with a roster change after the season but everyone says cc has no control over the roster I think is not true. He was at spring training and if he wanted them he should have put them on the roster.

It's the little things that drive me crazy about this team - like their baseball IQ isn't very high. Good example just now. Bases loaded with no outs and Seiya goes down 0-2 and then gets a walk after 4 straight balls. Bellinger up and grounds into a double play on a questionable first pitch and the Cubs get nothing. At least take one to see if the guy recovered from 4 straight balls instead of bailing him out!

Phew. I didn’t realize game wasn’t on at 7 pm tonight. I tune in seeing we are up 6-1 but they have the bases loaded in the eighth. Thought I was going to screw up everything.

It’s been a really rough month from a W/L perspective no doubt. Thing is Suzuki, Bellinger, Happ and Busch are all having solid offensive seasons (120-ish+ WRC+). Obviously starting pitching has been outstanding. Its been hitting w/RISP and the damn bullpen. My hope is that reinforcements are on the way in the form of Merryweather and Almonte. Brown also got a good report and started throwing. I think it’s time for him to take on a late inning role when he gets back. Hoyer will upgrade at catcher, add another bat and bring in some arms. Could still be some fun to be had this summer.
