There is absolutely nothing wrong with Dansby's deal. He was just over 5 WAR last year and will hit 4 WAR this year.

He's exactly what you signed. He's a defense first SS that has some pop and strikes out a little more than you'd like. It's what he's always been and you'd expect he'll be for the next 3 or 4 years.

This is where the FO has warped people. He got a mid-line deal perfectly commensurate to what he is. People are expecting Seager or Betts for half the money.

7/$177M should be absolutely nothing for a team with the Cubs resources but because Jason Heyward, we panic when a guy that isn't making superstar money isn't a superstar.

For clarity, I’m not saying it’s a bad deal, I’m saying there are 29 other teams that would not take his contract.

He is exactly what we were expecting to get. His glove is above average and his bat is a guessing game between elite and wouldn’t touch AA pitching, which unfortunately describes our entire lineup

Unfortunately Bellinger is the only piece that could bring back any meaningful return. Wisdom probably gets you no more than a lottery ticket prospect or maybe at best a return like the trade we made with KC last year for Cuas that didn't pan out. He's nit an everyday player and past the age to have any more upside so he's a bench piece at best or a cheap option for a non contender.

I wouldn't mind doing some 2025 shopping now if someone is looking to move a contract we can take on and fill a position need. Have some pitching like Wesneski and others that could have some value to someone as a starter that you could package up with some other cost controlled prospects or pieces that will come off the books at the end of this season.

Already somewhat mentioned it today but still think Hoerner is a possible trade candidate who would bring in a pretty good haul given he’s proven and has a team friendly contract.

Triantos is #2 in Southern League BA and #3 in SBs. Has 7 dongs and by all metrics is way outperforming Hoerner at this level in a season they’re using a poor ball for hitters. Only knock is he doesn’t take a lot of walks.

As for backup SS, just noticed this morning Shaw has 6 games at SS this year and 14 at 2B. Much more at 3B, but this almost tells me the FO isn’t committing to him sticking to just one position.

I don’t hate Vazquez but I do hate the idea of a guy who doesn’t bat for power or average having a guaranteed spot. Feels like we’re set there

Not quitting on anyone but they can't all DH. The organizational philosophy of trying to make everyone Ben Zobrist on defense hasn't worked.

Just decide where they're going to play and let them play there. Triantos has starts at all 3 OF spots, 2B and 3B this year. When he's not a great glove guy anyway, you're just killing his defensive development.

Coby Mayo and Cade Povich for Steele and Wisdom—-let’s just say.

The O's wouldn't have much interest in Wisdom. They have plenty of current roster power bats and a lot of young infielders they would rather give spot at bats vs. Wisdom. And their interest in Steele will be contingent on injury status of Bradish or Kremer. For the short-term Orioles can tread water with Burnes, Rodriquez, Povich and Suarez.

The Orioles have consistently taken the long approach- so any trade will have to make them better in 2025 & 2026. If the Orioles trade 2 top prospects it will be for:

• Hard throwing established elite starter (Compliment Burnes)
• Top-tier Closer
• Elite Hard throwing Prospect Starter (ie Cade Horton)
• Elite center field Prospect (ie PCA, with their roster PCA could hit .225 & play elite defense)
