Paris is great. Amsterdam is my favorite city in the entire world. Rotterdam, Eindhoven, and Utrecht are great cities in Netherlands. Belgium is very underrated. Absolutely loved Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, and Brussels. The beer is amazing.
Would second the Amsterdam recommendation. If I could be an expat anywhere, that would be it.

Their food is excellent, very walkable, just a perfect vibe spring and summer. Very relaxed.

Ahh... you guys just like Amsterdam's red light district. Admit it.

By the time you get home, you will hear about 10 % of the places to go. German food and beer is tremendous. Especially in the local breweries. England was fun. Have a good time.

Why only Western Europe? The Adriatic is amazing. Slovenia to Croatia to North Macedonia to Albania to Greece is fire

Trying to do it as part of the trip to Ireland. Seemed better to try and keep it close.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been is Glendalough in Ireland, and it's a pretty short drive from Dublin. Waterford was a neat little town as well.

Two days in Paris is probably enough. If you are into history, a trip to Normandy is really moving.

Skip London.

I'll throw a vote in for Edinburgh. Really a neat place to visit with a good mix of history, bars, architecture, etc.
