I realize it doesn't, historically, register with most of the Big 12. But, maybe we should think about taking New Mexico into the Big 12 to round out the Four Corners. Isn't this a thing with Colorado, Arizona and Arizona State?

NM is like the mentally challenged step-child of the 4 corners. I love NM as a state, learned to ski there when I was like 5 and learned to snowboard there when I was 12, but it just doesn’t fit in the Big 12 as a school or athletics department.

Basketball only? Maybe. Full member? He'll no. Even basketball only you could name a bunch of better schools from Big East teams to Gonzaga
The Mountain West/Pac12 hybrid doesn't even want them...
I intend on retiring to Santa Fe/Taos in a few years. I'm a resounding yes for purely selfish reasons.

I have lived here for 20 years and cheer on the Lobos, but... hell no. Attendance at football games is weak and they would maybe win one conference game a year.

No one has looked into expansion more than Big 12 leadership over the last decade. If any more g5 were Big 12 ready they would already be in the league.

Possibly. Still checking around for houses. Ultimately it's my wife's decision once her visa gets approved and she comes to the US.
My mom, brother and sister are heading up there next week to visit family. There's a house in Humboldt I want them to look at for me.
