Only two complaints through 3 games

1. The clock is ALWAYS stopped until the huddle breaks against a CPU as if they got a first down. In past games (NCAA and Madden) 15ish seconds would skip when the huddle breaks. Games right now game much longer than they need to.

2. I timed a kick perfectly and the way my arrow was, the only way it would miss was wide left. Yet somehow I shanked it wide right, and I have zero clue how

You should be able to turn on Accelerated Play clock and then set the minimum number of seconds that it counts down to before the play.

You probably had accelerated play clock on in the past games. Same setting should still be there.

Yup. Field goals are still so hard. I was at home and like 37 yards out on the right hash and I wasn't even close.

Brahmer is still a beast. Looks like I'm going to lose Sama and Cooper to the transfer portal for lack of brand recognition.

Finally got my first recruit commitment, a three star gem defensive tackle.

I think I'm close to getting a commitment from the #5 TE recruit, but he's a four star bust. I'm curious what the bust/gem means exactly. Do you refuse to recruit busts? Is a five star bust equivalent to a three star? Is a three star gem equivalent to a four star?

I changed my passing game settings from Traditional to Placement & Accuracy. SO MUCH BETTER. Highly recommend. Turn the Passing Slow Down off. Pass Lead Increase to small. And I put the Reticle Speed up to 16 but I think that's a little too much, will probably bring down to 11-13 or something. If its a short pass and you don't take your finger off the button you will rocket a pass behind the receiver. Have to put a little touch on it. But you can't quick tap the button either as it's a lob rainbow into the clouds.

I haven't noticed the "wear and tear" notes. I must have that turned off??

Sama is leading the nation in rushing yards and TDs but isn't in the Heisman race at all after six weeks????

Any recruiting tips for those of you who have played all/most of a season?

I basically just sorted by rank and interest and added anyone who had me on their list. Did a little fine tuning after looking at ISU's roster, OL/DL seem to need a lot, FS, and WR. Then took a couple fliers on big recruits that were still in the Open recruiting stage and had some pipeline influence.

I’m just starting season 3, thought I had a great handle on recruiting after year 1 where I signed 34 recruits (counting transfers) and had a top 15 class. Did not realize you couldn’t cut freshman until that offfseason so I ended up having to keep some low 3 stars and cut better players. Quality much more important than quantity in class rankings from what I can tell. Signed a class of only 17 the second season but 12 were 4 stars and ended up the 20th ranked class.

I’ve noticed that if you offer a scholarship you seem to keep gaining momentum even if you aren’t actively recruiting, so i go through and offer everyone on my board first and then put all my points into the top recruits and gems.

Visits are huge again, but it seems like the vast majority of high level recruits don’t commit before week 5 or so. 2nd season there is a big gap in the schedule for visits in the middle of the season and I lost several top recruits that I assume visited other schools during that window.

Definitely still figuring things out.

It seems to me that bust and gem are essentially the equivalent of a star ranking. So a 5 star bust will have a similar overall to a regular 4 star and etc.

If I remember correctly, they said in the dynasty deep dive that a gem/bust can be seen as 1 star up/down from their rating.

Sweet. I think I should land a four star gem athlete who is expected to be a running back. I'll need it if I'm going to lose Sama to the portal.

I was listening to a YouTube video on my drive to work today and a guy said he was on year three of dynasty and most of his recruiting success and starting line up has come from the portal rather than the high school recruits.

jealous of everyone that gets to play it. I have been waffling between getting either a gaming desktop or PS5 sometime this year. So far been leaning to the desktop since there is a lot of games and future games that are exclusive to PC but I still play NCAA 14 on my ps3 and ncaa football to this day is my favorite console game.

Difficult kicking? Yes. However, I love the kicking not being automatic. Even the CPU misses kicks. Are you having trouble with the left/right timing? Or the kick power timing? Be sure to not hold the button too long for power. Left/right, double check your TV is set to game mode to limit latency of the button press.

Saw this good overview from Operation sports:

The default setup is to try and hit A/X as close to the green on the horizontal bar. Then you keep holding that to get to the desired power you want on the arrow. The higher the power you kick with, the more your inaccuracy on the horizontal bar comes into play.

For kicks like PATs, you need very little power, so your accuracy doesn't have to be as precise. The further the kick, the more power you need, the more your accuracy on the horizontal bar matters.

Try to avoid getting into the red on the arrow. You get a big time hit to your accuracy if you hit the red power.

Yeah this is my understanding from watching some youtubers - 3 Star gem = 4 Star but 3 star bust = 2 star - basically up or down a star level

I'm just missing a lot of kicks because it feels like I'm aiming far enough to the right or left and I'm definitely not.

And the 50 yarder I tried at Iowa the little football was moving at light speed back and forth.

Another complaint I've seen are with the sim results. People are seeing top 10 teams lose to FCS teams way too often, and themselves losing to teams they have no business losing to when simming. Hopefully they can adjust that to make the ridiculous upsets much less common.

Still very fun. You can make it where a computer does your recruiting for you so all you need to do is play

I've seen all of that, and there's a LOT of goofy glitches that don't really affect gameplay but need to be ironed out. Some examples my boys and I have noticed:

Ralphie the buffalo at an Oklahoma vs South Carolina game.
Team that threw an interception celebrating after the play.
A single Tennessee player coming out of the tunnel with LSU.
Fans clipping through each other/objects.

Some issues we've seen that DO affect gameplay:

3rd overtime was forced despite the game no longer being tied the second OT.
Player in motion got hung up on running back and couldn't complete the motion, forcing a delay of game.
Player jumped to catch the ball but never returned to the field, running above the opposition to the endzone where he laid down while staying above the heads of other players.

Between these and the completely broken sim I'm gonna hold off for a few months before getting invested in a dynasty or RTG career I want to take seriously.

But, honestly, the lack of attention to detail on traditions/environments/etc. for teams outside the top tier is incredibly disappointing. I had REALLY low expectations for that aspect (because EA) and they still fell short.
